Blacked out or Clear...

I was bored so I blacked out my OEM Ambers last night, was practicing technique in case I wanted to smoke my clears. I've always liked the blacked out look on Schawartz black but I dunno on Dakar. Maybe too much contrast? I dunno but here are some pics let me know what you think. ohh and excuse the missing fogs, a piece of a tire on the freeway shattered the passenger side unit and broke the bracket

I love the blacked out look. I just recently blacked out my corners and tail lights adn i think it looks alot better.

I dont like the black or that air intake tube in the headlight. The black looks spray painted not smoked.

Thanks, I searched for months for a unit that would match and meet my needs. Yeah a lot of people prefer that I left the headlight alone (gf says my car looks like it got beat up) But oh well different strokes, I'm just trying to do something different with form and function in mind. Also I wasn't after the smoked look with these corners. The ambers look crappy when smoked IMO. But thanks for your insight.

Thanks man, I put down to coats of clear. I'll probably apply two more to bring out a little more shine.

Blacked out looks cool with your ram air thing you got goin on there and also what kind of clip on rearview mirror is that?

Personally, I think clear looks good, however, if you tint them a little bit... clear coat them, then polish them, they'll look really good. I think you sprayed them a little to dark... should just be a haze that tints them slightly.

I do like the air ram inlet on the headlight.... but would only think someone should do that if their car looks like a racecar.

Well i agree, the clear looks better, the smoked is too dark. If you wer to just lightly tint the clears it would look much better. Also about the ram air, it looks nice, but i heard it only works at speed of above 156 miles per hours so ...
