Here are some pics of my Avus Blue 95 M3...










It is true when people say that sometimes what appear as disasters are actually blessings in disguise because I picked her up only after a girl turned in front of me and wrote off my 325iS. Anyways, I've had her for about a year now and this is what I have so far...

Drivetrain:

Schrick/Conforti Cam Kit.
HIOP Headers.
Custom "X" mid-pipe.
UUC System U V2.0 Catback Exhaust
UUC UDP's.
UUC Evo SSK w/ cartridge bearings + delrin bushings.
UUC Tranny mounts (red) w/ enforcers.
Centerforce E34 M5 clutch w/ UUC Stage 2 LTW flywheel. (Yet to be installed)

Suspension:

Koni Adjustable shocks/struts.
UUC Sport springs (Soon to be replaced by H&R race springs)
UUC Swaybarbarians.
E46 M3 RSM's.

Brakes:

Brembo crossdrilled rotors.
Hawk HPS pads.

Wheels and Tires:

HRE 547R's finished in charcoal with brushed lip.
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's 235/40/18 Front; 255/35/18 Rear.

Others:

UUC aluminum pedal set w/ dead pedal.
UUC Magnum shift knob.
Amsoil synthetics throughout.
OEM clear corners all around (clear sidemarkers on the way).

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff but that's the majority of my modifcations. At this point I would like to thank all the people on the boards for so much help over the last few years Scho, CMT, Scotty CS, SG M3, Matthew C Smith and a pile of others from DTMPower, as well as all my friends that help me wrench on this thing, Arnold Bolin for rolling my fenders perfectly for $50, Rob Levinson at UUC, and most of all Ron at Denon High Performance in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Thanks for the props. The cam kit is worth every penny, turned the M3 into a completely different car. The Michelins are unbelievable too, undescribable wet traction and the most comfortable ride I've ever felt from such a low profile tire.

I love the new Michelins. Not only is the dry grip an eye opener, the wet grip is something I never thought would be attainable by a street tire. It's been pouring for the last few days and normally I would have been choked because my car gets so filthy when it rains (I swear Avus must be a synonym for dirty), but I've gone for a few, spirited though cautious rides on some of my favorite roads in the wet and now I don't mind the rain so much. In short, the PS2's provide the utmost confidence during spirited driving, especially on a rainsoaked road. I wish I had a real autocross (my local autocross events are put on by the local Corvette club, and you're pretty much unwelcome unless you drive a Vette) event to go to so I could really push these things in the rain and find out what their actual limit really is. They are very expensive tires however, but are, in my mind, worth it. I mean, no matter how much money you pour into every element of you car's suspension, your tires are still the means by which every improvement you've made holds onto the pavement. At least that's the way I see it, and thus, can justify their hefty price. That, and having the best emergency handling, especially in the rain, is important to me as well. With all the mountains around here, you are almost bound to run into a downpour or two with every highway trip you take, no matter what direction you go.

Great car Peter, I love the wheels and it sounds like it's a screamer with the cam kit. If you ever get a chance to dyno that bad boy, definitely let us know what it puts down!
