19" iForged E36 with Rieger kit update!

(posted this in the wrong section before - so here it is again!)

Thought I would post some pics of the car in the bodyshop (nearly done!)

Rieger rear and side skirts and E46 rieger look front bumper installed - having the side skirts moulded to the body so no kit lines!!

They actually welded in metal plates to mount the bumpers as the kit did not come with good enough mounting points - very strong now.

Kind of wishing I had put back the stock wheels on the car while its in the shop - oh well.

Hopefully paint will be done by Friday in Estoril blue - will post more pics as they come!

I liked the M tech look better, the wheels are sharp, would look hotter if they had some anthracite centers or something though...

I have to agree with bmwm3n528, not a huge fan of E46 front ends on E36 cars. That said I can't wait to see pictures of it painted, maybe drop the G2 corners in favor of traditional smoked corners?

In all fairness the car isn't completed yet, I will hold out judgement until I see it finished & painted. Why did you decide to drop the M3 kit in favor of the E46 kit?

Really wanted to go with a different look than every other 3 series that is why I went with the E46 front look - not that its drasically different. There are so many M3's here in Tampa - would be nice to stand out from the crowd a little! I will definatly post more pics when its back from the paint shop.

I like the idea of molding the side skirts, the only problem is that they may start to crack over time. along with the others, i do like the E36 kit more, but again, i will judge it after paint. after all, differant strokes for differant folks. i do give you props though. as long as it is good quality, it will look good.

Very well done. Personally, I like the idea of doing something different then everyone else that has the traditional M3 kit.... and keeping it away from looking like "euro-rice". Hope the rest of the body work and paint go well for you... can't wait to see it!

Sweet!

I remember last year when i dropped off my car to get resprayed.... I was hyped the entire time the car was in the shop...

I see that you went with the Fiberglass Replica Rieger Kit, very good choice especially since you are molding your sideskirts into the body of the car...

Keep us posted on how it goes...

it will look good bro, definitley an eye popper. I love mine. I had power mirrors like yours as well with the blinkers but they looked cheap on my car and I sent them back but they look good on yours. The one thing I would do if i had a 2 door coupe is put lambo doors on it. I wanted to do it with mine but i held off b/c my doors are shorter since I have a 4 door but do that, definitly put the rieger M3 side vents in like the new M3's which i am in the process of doing. I am also putting a carbon fiber DTM front lip to my front E46 Bumper. I am also upgrading my angel eyes to the ones that you can see in the day time which will look hot. I also would install a PDF in your rear bumper that will notify you when you are close to something when backing up like the new M3's which is $500 total with installation. Its actually $450 and installation is $50 but you will love it once its done. I am repainting my whole ride in a few months to Pearl white so I hope the best for you. Email me some pics when you are done. Billy1998M3

there are quite a few E36's here in Germany with the E46 front bumper I have no doubt that it will look sweet. I just purchased a 96 328I and have thought of going with the E46 front bumper and a M3 rear bumper. I will definately go with the euro style. Once I return stateside in Aug.
