| Re: Easter Break pics...( beware, modem users ) Quote:
this pic would be perfect if that stupid lexus wasnt there. i think some cropping is in order. i like the ones where the car is shifted a little to the side of the frame; such as the one with the tower. you get your car in the picture (which is your goal)and there is a move even balance between the scenery and the car. it leaves space for your eyes to move around and appreciate other stuff like in the tower i think to myself, nice angle on the car and hey that tower is cool. there is a progession of height with the car, then the lightpost, then the tower it draws your eyes either away from the car so youre not bored with the pic, or from the tower down to enter the photo. good job! the one under the (sandstone i think?) entryway is very cool very strong light on the sides and the recessed car maks for decent composition it think. it acts as a natural frame for the subject. quite mean looking. i think you obviously have some photographic talent there. keep it up. all you need to do now is play with some levels and saturation and stuff in photoshop to make em pop. thanks, Mike |

| Thanks for the great comments ![]() wolfy06 - The rims are 18x8.5's all around with 245/35/18 F1 GS-D3's. DadeM3 - no, I don't go to Stanford. I just live 5 minutes away from there. You're right, under a palm tree would be awesome. I'll take one during the summer fo sho! Mike - wow, I haven't had anyone critique my work before. If I had more experience with photoshop, i'd take your advise. All the pics i have up there are "as is." You seem to be a photographer!!! I appreciate your input. All of the pics had little to no planning. I pretty much just drove around town, parked the car, took a few pics, and then left. |

| Great Pics. My home is a stone throw from Stanford as well, but I am currently down in LA at school. Those pics make me want to go back to the bay! Lemme see, are some of thos pics at Sacred Heart in Atherton? What about the cemetery? Is that the one on Santa Cruz? I know the one is at the Menlo Park train station, and the other is Palo Alto city hall. So funny to see my all those places I spent so much time in your post.

| hey Ted Haven't talked to you in a while. Do you still go to BMWCCA autocrosses? I agree with you. Those pics do make me want to go back to the bay. Yup, you guessed right about the location of the pics. The funny thing is, that was the first time i've ever been inside that cemetary. It was weird. |

| Unfortunately, I haven't been to a CCA autocross in quite some time. Business school down here at 'SC takes up far too much time, and any time I have back in the bay is usually spent relaxing with the family. I'll be done with classes in 3 weeks so hopefully I can make it to a few events this summer. Are you going to the Bay Area 02 show at Stanford on May 15? [EDIT] Holy crap I didn't realize who I was talking to. Once I checked out your site it all made a lot more sense. Nice to see you moved out of the Grand Cherokee and back into something more fun. cheers.
