Cool New member of the family... a Jet

Well after much talk the parents finally went out and decided to go against getting a new sports car and went with a Jet Timeshare through citation shares, one of the many private jet companies that are out in todays market. The jet has a top speed of around 460mph and a cruising elevation of 41,000 feet. I just wish a gallardo was sitting in the garage instead... This is still fun for a year I am not complaining. No security no wait (just 15 minutes before departure) and your rental car or car is on the runway ready to be loaded or unloaded upon arival.

The Family

I flew in it just recenlty down to florida to visit with the grandparents for the weekend with the family. The ride was suprisingly smooth and the pilots were extremely helpful.

alen,
You fly out of any local airport just have to give a time notice of 8 hours or more and they will arrive there. I believe citation shares has around 300 jets.

Polo M3
Thats sweet you should try it out sometime if possible. We opted for 25 hours of flight time. Time starts when the wheels leave the ground and vice versa.

The 1/8th share or 100hours was 775,000 for the Bravo (7 passenger) a lil pricey for a individual to toss around for 1 year...
I think that this would have been a great investment in terms of trying to start up one of these private jet companies after 9-11, when the boom of this business actully started.

15 minutes what?

Cool Citation. I actually work at an FBO on Boeing Field in washington state, so it's nothing new but cool no less.

BTW, call well in advance of departing, not this 15min crap. The line service guys that have to actually do all the work(pilots don't work) really freaking hate being pressed on time like that moving/fueling a multi-million dollar aircraft. It can also mess up your plans becuase if they are already busy, you're at the bottom of the list.

Anyway, don't get to tell the customers that we service of course, so i'd thought i'd help out my brutha line lackys and let you know.

Stupid requests, not saying thank you, and bothering our cute Customer Service Reps that sit behind our front desk also pisses us off.

Anyway, gratz!

BENT///M3,

The 15 minutes I was refering to the departure. The advancement to take off is 8 hours or more notice.

cbouchez,
Our university holds www.daytontodaytona.com every year. Typically we drive down but the little sister is now at UD also we are trying to go for the citation x and fly both of our groups down but that maybe a stretch.

Now that is pretty cool. how fast is that particular one on take off? faster or slower than commercial airliners? one of the coolest things for me is takeoff in a plane, that kick in the pants for 30 seconds.

Have fun and enjoy every minute,
Mike

We have had the vipers for ever both since new. Previously before that was a 94 and a 95 RT/10... The parents were thinknig about getting rid of them after much talk I have convinced them not too and they finally realized why not just add. Plus I wouldn't mind the GTS sticking around for atleast one more year before im officially out of college. This summer I put a little over 5k miles on it.

As for autombile aquisitions the parents cant justify dropping over 100 on an automobile. Tho all things can change because at first they thought jet timeshares were complete crap and a waste.

BTW Eric... That sig looks great, very clean E30
