| I'm pretty happy with the springs. My only complaint is I seem to be somehow gettings just the tiniest bit of coilbind in the rear which I need to work on. But the balance of the car is great. With my sways set soft/soft the car is extremly neutral with just a hint of understeer, which is just about perfect for the track. I'm running swapped hats which puts me at -2.4 degrees up front and -1.8 in the rear. -2.4 actually performs very well, my front tires have worn amazingly even so that says its pretty much right. Its not a race car, but body roll is is just about nil.... I'm very happy with it overall. ![]() Are you still running the TCK setup and just getting new springs or are you changing out to full GC? |

| I'm still on the tck setup and adding 450/525. Glad to see you like it, i'm going to swap the hats this time. But i'm thinking of selling my setup and just getting the full GC kit with camber plates, or get DA fronts and no plates. What rear ride height are you running? Probably 11.75 you might no have enough bump stop in the rear? Or you might lower it 11.5" and see. Are you testing by zip ties?

| I havn't done the zip tie test yet, I need to do it though. I was just checking up on my rear brake pads last week and I noticed there looked like some rub marks on the springs. I need to zip tie them tomorrow so that I can see how it holds up during the autocross on sunday.... I'm currently at 11.75" which is pretty low, if I fail the zip tie test I might give 11.50" a shot and see what happens. I'm also thinking of maybe trying a different spring rate back there too.... I origionally planned on getting the DA Konis but actually the GC people talked me outta them. Basically, they said all the extra effort trying to dial in the DAs isn't worth the hassle unless your really racing and such. I dunno though, FWIW I wish I had the DAs, especially since I'm getting better at autocrossing now. Camber plates are on my list of things to do soon, simply because I wanna make sure I get as much life as possible outta my track tires when I get them. |

| The DA fronts with SA rears is $1500, the normal track/school kit with plates is $1500. Though for my weekend warrior needs it maybe too much. From looking at my coilovers compaired to scho's track school kit, the only difference is the rear shocks, his are completely different than mine. Mine are standard length M3 spec koni's, his look nothing like mine and are shorter. But our fronts are the same, except for is his custom geometery. Don't know if its worth the extra money between mine and the GC kit. I have a set of kosei's with r comps on them in my garage, i'm debating to use them though. I may just sell them and stay on street tires, r comps maybe more than i need.
