DASC 318 - New Pics...

Here are some pics that I've taken over the time I've had my car. It has come a long way from the unpainted sideskirts and amber corners. My mods so far are DASC supercharger, Alpine In-Dash monitor and DVD player, clear corners/ sidemarkers, M3 Lux sideskirts, 17" OEM M-Double Spoke II's (Staggered), Brospeed exhaust.

It looks real good, how big a diffrence is there between the the supercharger, and no supercharger?

night and day difference - It's nice to still get great gas mileage, but I never feel that lack of power like I used going up a hill or passing w/out a downshift. I haven't dynoed it, but I've ran a 5 spd E46 328CI from 80-115. He couldn't pull me at all--higher up in each gear I actually started walking away slowly. I also ran a Z Coupe, and we were dead even from 60-100ish. I didn't see the back, so I don't know if it was the 2.5, 2.8, or 3.0L...

It's worth every penny, though. I may have been better to do an engine swap, but this way my car probably holds a higher value.

i like the pics. however, it seems to me that the right side sits lower than the left (compare the first pic with others) or it could be just me.

Yeah, I thought that too for some reason, but I measured the the gap from tire to fender and it is the same.
The only real plan I have is to stick a Rieger lip on the front and be done.

Thinking of getting me DA kit. Do you think it's worth it? And have you had any problems at all? Did you get it installed by a professional or is it possible to do it yourself? And have you taken it to a track? Need to know how it would perform.

It is well worth it, unless you are willing to deal with the additional cost and hassle of doing a motor swap. The kit itself is designed fairly well, but the directions are unclear in some instances. I did the installation myself, but I changed some of the things that they specified.

I have done one autocross session with it on, and I am very pleased. My only problem was keeping the back end straight on bald Kumho's.

I have put 6000 miles on it, and it runs better than ever (it's cooler now). The only other problem is changing the oil since the new fuel regulator is in the way. Other than that, I love it.
