hey guys, names joey my girlfriend of 4 years is moving to colorado.. i want to move with her later this year.. can you guys tell me what boulder is like? social place? im from seattle, im just wondering what im getting myself into.

Boulder is a very social place. It is basically a college town built around the University of Colorado. It is a big hippie town, it seems for most either you love it or you hate it. I hate it. No offense if anyone on here is from Boulder I just couldn't live there.

hippie? so does this mean everyones laid back or do people mostly go out and party hardy.. im 19 so this is not going to be a bar/club thing for a few years.. What makes you hate it? im just a bit worried about what im getting myself into.

Hippie as in wearing tie dye shits, smoking weed and listening to the grateful dead. Boulder is a big party area, The University of Colorado was the number one party school just a couple years back. It is also a pretty expensive place to live when compared to other cities in Colorado just because so many people want to live there. To sum it up best it is a small college town about 30min north of Denver. Is there a reason you are set on Boulder? Is you girlfriend going to school there?

yeah her family is buying a house there... shes not really to much of a social party person, however she says she wants to meet new people.. i believe she will attend a community college because they are new residents it takes a year i believe of being a resident before the tuition drops to resident fee's insteand of non.

This is an important part in our relationship.. im debating the move. If its better to let her go and be with her family (she grew up there and loves it there) and see if this is serious enough for me to move down with her. I am a bit worried, not gonna lie and thats part of the reason i asked.

I love flyfishing - hunting - camping - snowboarding -paintballing and workout out.. if i can get those things in colorado, i will be very happy. I was told its a great place to carry a serious relationship on because of the "peacefull" atmosphere... Growing up in seattle its like a must to go out everynight and im not that kinda person anymore.

Its funny I grew up is Seattle also so I know where you are coming from. Colorado well offer you everything you listed. As a matter of fact with everything you listed Colorado might just be the place for you.
