The forum dose not have to be a club, but the club set up and feel that makes the Aussie regional so great. (if your going to have a thread that is NWS have it in a locked area where only members can get in to view, with age limits)

| The number one reason to start over is so we can become a community again. No post asking new members or any members to refer to the search function for answers. It's time to break down and rebuild a fantastic community.

| I voted no. Send out a PM to every member tell them they have a month to post again and if they don't post their account will be deleted. Those inactive members will be deleted... There are some very good treads, the tuning works thread in the Australian is a great resource, and I would hate to lose it if everything was deleted. Instead of a thousand stickies have an admin thread in every forum, which is locked so the message can get out, and be changed when it needs to be changed without there being any discussion about the changes. Thread creators should be able to delete their own threads, and moderate them. For example if I start a DIY engine swap thread using my car I don't want a thousand people asking me the same questions because they cant read, that is annoying for those members that can read, and are trying to follow the build. It is also annoying for me when I ask a question about how to do something and no one can see the question because to many people have told me it “looks good, but what type of engine is it?”, when its clearly stated on the first line. I don’t think the moderators can read every thread, but most people on here, I presume are like me and have some pride in their threads and their posts. I really hate it when people go of topic in my threads when I ask a question to the community, let me delete those posts... But all in all I do think the forum works well, but there just needs to be a few simple things changed; don't start again, because old threads are a wealth of information.

| I also agree with some of what was stated above. If we do decide to start from scratch again, what about the threads and sticky's that are important and have valueable knowledge, will they just go in the trash along with everything else?

| I still have not heard one logical reason to delete everyones account. You guys keep saying that it will get rid of those that don't post, well obviously if they don't post then they have no effect on the board. To me this makes abosolutely no sense, I may be missing something though.

| the "no's" are gaining momentum. good call on the 1 month to post or take a hike idea. I just think that if we did start from scratch, a year later it would be the same again. people join to search threads cuz there is great information in this site. they'll just do it again and continue not to post. |

maybe it would help to make search function available to non-members (if the forum is reset or not) BTW: I voted 'no' |
