F1 is the best sport in the world...even with all the new regs. As long as we dont see spec parts, I think we'll be ok. Fact is the cars keep getting faster and faster each year with improvements in aero and engine and most of all tires. Moncao is by far the most famous and exciting race for good reason. And even though I would have liked to see Schumi win a perfect season, Trulli deserved the win. At least red got on the podium. Even if Michael hadn't wrecked, he would have had to pit again, whereas Trulli didn't. Exciting stuff! GO FERRARI! Toyota is tearing it up for being the rookie team too..it will be interesting to watch them develop over the season. Renault has some wicked launches and amazing suspension and aero. The torquey engine helps since they are about 70 hp down from the top teams. BAR has come a long way. The Honda lump needs some work, but Button is a good driver. I think he will do good for BAR. McLaren has been disappointing last season and so far this season. Hopefully their new car is a winner. Id like to see the Ice Man win some. Coulthard I think is about done. MOntoya, as cocky as he is, is a good driver. Takes a lot of risks and just wants to beat Michael. The Williams just doesnt seem to be good in race trim. I like Alonso.....sharp young kid. He'll go far with Renault. Barichello just seems to have bad luck. His performance goes to show though, that Michael is the reason Ferrari is where they are. The car is great, yes...probably the most balanced car in the field...and most reliable. Barichello drives it 100% and usually finishes in the top 5....Michael drives the same car 110% and we can see what happens. All in all it will be a great season...Michael will win, no surprise there....but I think Renault and BAR are going to duke it out for the best of the rest...unless McLaren has something up their sleeves or Williams can get the chemistry right, I dont think they will be contenders for the championship.
That was a long post...hehe....good reading!
i must say that i agree.....but BMW is my largest dissapointment with mclaren. Their engines have nothing to envy the Ferrari, but now that restrictions have changed the way the michelin tires performed (a less square sidewall configuration), the cars are on a more equal standbase and the ferrari outperforms the rest of the pack by far, with some help from schumi of course
