well i had to post it, someone else prob would with all the talk recently..

anyways, on other places, i was hit pretty hard since i DO NOT support this thing.. im down for giving gays some rights and stuff, but i am totally against them getting married..

gays agrument is that the law is being invaded by religion and that is what is holding them back from getting married.. and now bush wants the new amendment passed to define marriage as a man and a woman only..


(Some of us believe) that the gays will end up burning in the end (not necessarily based on facts).. since it is not normal and morally degrading.. i hate to say i even live NEAR san francisco..
i wouldnt ever jump a gay, or give them any less respect as a human.. i just want them out of my face and back in the closet..
give em rights but no marriage..


so i wonder how the DTM crowd goes wih the subject??
and what about the federal gov. stepping in and wanting to define marriage? should they be allowed to?

A man and a man or woman and woman getting married goes against what the bible says and I see it as a defamation of the idea.

If same sex couples want to get "married" give them another word for it and don't let them do it in a church.

Maybe some of you should refer religon thread from a long while back, see how many people actually think that there is an "end."

If you think that will happen to them, why not just let them get married, its not going to change anything except give gay couples some more benefits that other couples get.

If you think they shouldn't get married for something other than YOUR religous beliefs, then your opinion should be somewhat valid. Keep religion out of politics and everywhere else for that matter. If you believe in a Personal God, keep it that way.

Good Lord, I'm surprised by some of the comments made here today. What makes them more morally impure than say petar who posts 500 porn pictures a day? If you're gonna go by biblical standards you are all in the same boat. So no they won't necesarilly burn.

I do think there should be a venue where they can be legally joined so they can get benefits such as pension, inheritance and tax breaks. They are no different than any of us. What are you guys basing your statements off of?

And if this was 50 years ago you same people would be arguing how black and white people shouldnt be married -- probably because you dont want to see that 'nasty crap'. The fact is that we have equal protection under the law. INCLUDING gay people. It's a slippary slope. If we don't let them marry then what next? Don't let them vote? Do we make them wear rainbow patches so we can definately tell if they are homo or not?

Let them do what they want -- it will not affect you. They still be having sex and kissing with or without marrage.
