| I need help fast! Please help me find a 325 bmw. My friend and I are having a race to see who can make the coolest, fastest, meanest driving machine for under 4 grand. Here's the best part. I already have an m50 auto motor with only 26k miles, an interior lighting kit and a 2400 watt dual 15" sub system. PLUS I have a hookup for real cheap bimmer body kits. BUT I need a car! if anyone knows where I can grab a driveable 83-91 bimmer for under $2000 that would be really funking nice. |

| What is wrong with you people? Didnt you know interior lighting adds rwkw? The energy from the interior lights is absorbed into the interior of the car, warming it up. Everyone knows you need to warm up your 'internals' before you take your car out for a thrashing. And those subs, after putting them into twin 15" exhaust pipes, will help push the car forward by the laws of Newton - every action has an equal and opposite reaction. You see, as the subs push the air outwards from the back of the car, the air pushes the subs and thus the car, forwards. So, when he needs a NOS-like boost, he just pumps up the stereo, and doof doof doof! Boost boost boost! Welcome to Ricer Physics 101. In all seriousness, if you have the M50, nice! ![]()

| To me making your car fast is cool, so there one in the same. So ditch all the radio stuff all together. With m50 you already on your way, put some m3 cams in it, custom chip, and the usuall bolts on. I wouldn't go with any body kit unless it an m-tech 2 kit, otherwise leave the e30 the way it looks. It only needs to be lowered to get an aggresive, classic look. Body kits are the worst things people do to e30's. |

| forget the subs, if theyre decent sell em and spend the money on the parts you're going to need for your swap. You can always find some toolbox ricer kid that will give you more than theyre worth. Also, automatic is just unacceptable, find a manual tranny. There are a very few kits that look good on the E30, so lets try not to fudge it all up, ok?? for four grand its gonna be tough to build a respectable, well rounded car with the engine swap. My advice would be forget anything not absolutely neccesary(audio, lighting, seats, interior dress-up, body kits, ect.), try to find some good used suspension, used 16's with some good rubber, and get your swap done right. If you do that you should have a pretty sweet vehicle that's worth making look pretty later on.

| who cares, let the kid build his own car. What is exciting about having a car that looks the same as everyone else's on this board? I'm sick of seeing the same thing when it comes to e30's. I hate a ricer just as much as any of you, but anything is better than copying someone else's car/design. I built my car ignoring anyone's opinion but my own, and I think it would be hard to argue that it turned out nice. Be original, without being distasteful. |
