2.5 turbo?? HAHAHA not much you can do with a 2.8 turbo... can't even run that much boost on one since the compression is so high already.

but it you're talking about a 2.8l stroker turbo... well then that's a differrent story. Boosting ~9psi you can EASILY make 250+ rwhp and 300+ rwtq... and if you can put that much power to the ground, then you'll be able to beat anything with comparable specs...

I beat 1.8ts all day
vr6's until 65MPH

and the rest i didnt race..

and i have a lightly modded M20

A turbo 325i can beat a lot of cars, at a common 10psi. 1.8t's, and VR6's no problem. You can keep up with a vr6 with a chip, and a set of 4.10's, maybe even beat it. E30's are pretty light cars, so if you bump it up to 240-250whp it has a good power to weight ratio.

I in fact have a 2.8l turbo. I have not raced much with it because of the fact that it is not totally tuned (cant go past 4k rpm). I will tell you that in fifth gear I can pull on a very modified 2.7l stroker in 4th gear. (from 60-80ish). I am going to re-dyno my car in the next week or so, once i get my new fuel pump, and some other stuff. With it being just a low compression engine (no turbo) 2.8l, i pulled on a 300zx (not sure if it was turbo).

No offense, but i would think that if you do not understand what goes into building a turbo, or completley how one works, you shouldn't really go messing around with one (unless it comes stock on the car)
