how much will it cost to replace that trasmission? and how much to get a manual instead? i can put it in myself so labor isnt an issue.

you can't beat it for the price...

but it is a slushbox with gay rally-car fog lights, I would definitly ditch the fogs, other than that it is an excellent $3K car, have you run a carfax?

I am worried about him referring to it as a 'project car', he is also overstating the gain those minor modifications will give you, but the 3.5L engine on the E34 5er's is bullet proof, the miles aren't too much of a concern.

Not really feeling the rally lights or the MM wheels. Sounds like it needs some work too.

i dont like the lights or wheels eather, but its not worth passing up the car for, i was going to swap out the auto for a 5 speed becuse it needs replacement, i called the owner, he is a good guys, really loves the car, bought it in 93 from the used BMW program, i dont know the name, and has put only 60,000mi on it, he has taken awsome care, has all the records from BMW dealers where he got it matneced, he called it a "project car" becuse he knows anycar that needs a tranny is a project, and no i havent run a carfax, i dont have the VIN, well anyway anything eles you guys can tell me will help.
