Ok, my two cents.....both are really nice cars, but I heard the Z has poor acceleration, I dont know myself I've never driven one, I'm just saying. Also, chances are this kid has his parents buy him the car, so he could look cool....I've known way too many of these kids, parents went out and bought him a mercedes, and he used to run his mouth constantly up until the point where he got smoked by a friends 328.....go ahead and race him....I'd put my money on you...

Shifting. If he doesn't shift at optimal shift points, or shifts slowly, that greatly affects straight line acceleration.

dude.. just throw in a 4.44, learn to launch it, learn to shift gears faster than ever, and thennnnnn make sure the race doesnt go past 80mph, cuz you wont be able to accelerate past that haha

Nah man really its in the driver, practice a launch or two and make sure you are confident enough not to miss a gear.

Now if you want ill race it for you, and i come with a 100 dolla gaurentee of winning!

Dude, if you dont know what a diff is you better start learning about CARS in general. A diff is pretty basic knowledge....You seem pretty noob, I bet you will lose. No offense.

If you wanna win then go out and practice, and take everything thats not bolted down out of your car, spare tire, floor mats and have as little gas as possible. It may not be that big of a difference, but if your cars are only 2 tenths a second apart then you need all the help you can get. Also, make sure everything in your car is off like the radio and the air conditioning, I've been in races where it makes a difference. Good luck and be safe.
