| Quoted from member on Bimmerforums.com message boards- Passing it along- "'Sup everyone- Hey if you are looking to upgrade your rear speakers to 6x9's you have GOT to check out these new adapters, they ROCK! They are in California, adapters are made out of MDF composite and bolt right up to the factory mounts. I was really surprised how solid they are and how easy they mount- I am way impressed. I found out too that by installing these I can have great sound and be able to access my rear shock settings for autoX'ing bcause there is plenty of clearance now, even with big 6x9's. I always had to remove the old Nokia speakers to get to the top of the shocks, what a pain b/c I didn't want to cut my carpet. Anyway, just passing the info along because I've never seen anything as good as these adapters. I believe they have adapters for 8" subs too." Last edited by blackhat : 06-05-2003 at 12:33 PM. |

| DOO- Stay outta my thread unless you have something positive to contribute. You don't see me insulting things that you have bought for your car do you? These 6x9 mounts are one of the coolest things I have add to my car and they rock. If you have comments to support your post then please do so, otherwise shut it. ///Bimmerpower- You should do some thinking before you post. If you even knew what in the hell you were trying to bag on you would know that the adapters are hand-made out of composite wood. ![]() Yes, you could buy cheap speakers for $45 if that's what you like to have in your car....... But how are you going to mount them in the back deck? duct-tape them under there? Cut a big hole in your car? Smart guy you are..... ![]() I thought the purpose of these forums was to help others and post useful information. Last edited by blackhat : 06-15-2003 at 02:52 PM. |

| Very nice- Bravo, a design well done. It's about time we had more options for putting sound in the back of our cars without taking up the whole damn trunk! I think the 6x9 adapters just started being sold about 6 months ago, and I know they have 8" adapters too. That would be trick! 8" under the rear deck for midbass and one or two of your 12" enclosures in the side panels. And you still ahve the whole trunk left! Sweet!! |

| hmm looks like a decent design, hell i could make that myself. (think i might....) Is there any loss in sound quality from that lip?

| The Scorpion 6 x 9 and 8 inch adapters are a good product giving us more speaker options for the rear deck. I purchased both the 6 x 9 and 8 inch adapters. Good quality and perfect service from a good guy to do business with. I highly recommend Scorpion.

| ///Bimmerpower- Are you smoking crack? Lay off the pipe, son. In your first post you didn't know what in the hell you were talking about so now you are just back-peddling a bit with your new angle of attack. If you are not interested in the topic then don't post in MY thread- All you are doing is flaming here, that's it. If you bought a pair and hated them, then that's one thing and would fully respect your comments- But you are just speaking from your butt right now with no basis for your opinion. Or maybe for some reason you own a competing product or site and are trying to knock your competitor? Hmmmm..... Why do we buy $200-$300 front lips and spoilers for our cars when we know that plastic and fiberglas is really cheap too? Some of us do not have the time to make these things because we have JOBS. It's easier for me to pay a reasonable price for a decent product that someone has put forth their own time and effort to make, versus trying to spend a day designing / cutting / recutting something like this. But hey, if you have nothing better to do with yourself than sit around and make a speaker adapter for your car then good for you. For me, doing that would cost me considerably more in time. Having seen / used these first hand they sound great and quite impressively fit very well, so I absolutely know that your comments are out of line- If saying that is 'advertising' then so be it, I think the maker deserves some credit for their efforts. |

| I don't smoke crack, just the sticky. I simply said that the price is rediculous for the product that you/he/she is selling. You are the one that instigated my 'flaming' by insulting my inteligence. All of the 8 posts that you have contributed here plug the website and how awesome a SOUNDING product the $50 MDF adapter is (aka your 'coolest' mod). Present For BlackHat Never did I know that composite wood adapter could sound so great... I think you mean the speaker, son. Yes, I have a job. I also just might start designing and building my own line of speaker adapters be it at the moment I have some time on my hands and all the proper tools. Thanks for the inspiration, son .

You originally insulted your own *lack of* intelligence in your first post by mis-stating that they were plastic adapters.. Really.... So I can't possibly insult something that is not there in the first place. Oh... and Yes, we all want to buy things from an angry jerkoff who smokes dope- ![]() I see you must have rode the 'short bus' to school..... Last edited by blackhat : 06-17-2003 at 09:42 AM. |
