Speed Limits in Australia

Hi all, as everybody know maximum speed limit is 130-140 km/h at Northern Territory in Australia and at other parts of Australia max speed limit is only 100km/h. So are there any place that we can speed with our bimmers up to 250km/h in Australia off the traffic? And will there be any unlimited speed highways in Queensland in the near future? I will be glad to know.

As fair as Im aware you wont be finding any "no speed limit" highways in Australia in the future. Man if you live here you should know by now that they are trying to crack down on speeding and "hoons".

If you want to go fast on the road, find places with the "no speed limit" signs ie Drive to suit condition, but honestly though, in those places your never even get close to 250km/h, let alone 120km/h.

If you have a "need for speed" just hit the race track, its only like 120 to 250 AUD for a day and its worth it, plus you dont have to worry about traffic or novience drivers....

It's really bad, uncontrolled speeding is not good and is not safe and I never support it but not being able to speed with a bimmer makes also life shorter. In my country I was going as fast as I can as long as it is safe for all traffic and I never had any accident since 10 years. I was going with 230-240s with my BMW 320i till gass cuts down at 230km/h which is really so enjoyable to do.
