That was some funny shit....Dont fuss it, apparently this kid was over amped from watching Fast N Furious for the fifth time on video.

Man I think I should go rent the tape. Is this movie that good. I saw the previews and they made me laugh. I remember some rice burning civic blowing away some old muscle car with a blower sticking out of the hood.

Hell judging from some of these posts later tonight I might be taking the Pinto out.

Off to Blockbuster I go.

Adam,

Look at my sig and you will see a link. Fallow it to some pics of my car. You will also see a pic of a Dyno run taken on February 2000. You will see 338 HP on that chart. That chip was very rich. A new chip was made this past summer. New HP at 362 at the wheels. No pic of that dyno run. Call ERT and ask for Dale he will tell you about my car.

362 X 1.21 = 438 HP at Crank

or just use the old chart

338 X 1.21 = 409 HP at crank

Yes my car is 199% streetable. No problems at all. Have driven to Florida from PA (1432 miles) 3 times with the car as it sits now. Some members on this list have seen the car at some events, Dado is one of them.

PS The car is a daily driver, just turned 80,000 miles

Speaking of bad movies...

Don't ever go out and waste money at BlockBuster on DRIVEN either.

If you think Fast and Furious was bad....boy, Sylvester Stallone stunk out the joint with Driven....

Anybody want to buy a cheap, barely used DVD?

Pat

PS On a side note, I have to agree. I've built several *race* motors out of stock, Chevy 350 blocks, though mostly for marine applications. Flat out, the 350 isn't good for much more than 500 HP, and that's pumping a LOT of forced air into it, and rebuilding it after each race (boat engines tend to run on the pins 100% of the time however).

There is simply no way his 350 is putting out 672 HP, even with forced air. The engine simply won't rev that high without collapsing.

Hold on I'm gonna have to defend my friend here now. It is very possible that a 350 can push 650hp+. Dude think about it man. If a little ass Vetec, or a Turbocharged v-6 can crank that much, then why can't a 350 CI V-8 Sports car engine crank that much. You never heard of any Corvette pushing 650+. You really need to look that up before you say something like that. However there was no need for such a bullshit story. BTW, if anyone cares, he aint mad at me he actually laughed his ass off and apologizes to you all for such a rediculous story like that but asks for everyone to forgive him.

I think what everyone is looking for is atleast an attempt to post some sort of proof. Hell, I would like to see any car that makes 900+ horsepower. It's not only questionable, but it'd be damn special building a car that made that kind of power.

Dude 350CI Engine's are very cabable of pulling 650hp+. With a 250 shot of NOS though my boy went to far. He should have said 100 or something. Anyway, i work with him in a chevy dealer, we are mechanics and trust me those baby's are very cabable of pushing 650+. Of coarse you will need either a supercharger or turbo and a whole lot of work. Again i state, if it's possible to push a SUpra or an Integra to 650hp+, then why can't you do that to a 350CI V8?

One last thing, i have a friend that swears he saw an INtegra with only an Air filter, and and exuast system do a 1/4 mile in 10.2 secs!!!! That's more rediculous than the other story!!!!!

Possible, but VERY unlikely, and most people know enough about cars to know that someone who can't even spell isn't pushing a 672 Horsepower Camaro.

(Well he may be literally "pushing it...")

So the guy admits the whole story including the car was a lie?
Thats so funny.

A Supra can make 600 HP and so can an Interga. But the Integra motor will need a rebuild after every 1/4 mile run. The Supra motor is very strong and will stay together at 600 HP for a long time. But how do these two motors differ from the 350 CID Chevy? Well these motors have been designed with the latest and greastest technology. The 350 Chevy motor dates back to the 1950's. The 350 Chevy uses 50 year old technology. The only reason the motor makes the HP it makes is because of displacement. Can you imagine the power a 350 CID BMW, Benz, Lexus, etc motor would make. Don't imagine just check some of the BMW, Benz, etc tuners.

Check out this

http://www.renntechmercedes.com/spla...lk/clkgtx.html

Acceleration:
Zero to 60 mph..................... 3.4 seconds
Zero to 100 mph................... 7.1 seconds
Zero to 150 mph....................15.2 seconds
Quarter mile..........................11.3 seconds @ 130 mph
Lateral Acceleration.................1.0g +
Braking, 100 to 0 mph.............275 feet
Top Speed.............................220 mph
Engine Power..........................620 hp @ 6,000 rpm
Torque...................................610 ft lbs @ 4,400 rpm

Man that car is a sick car.

On my original post I posted some links for a chevy tuner. One was a twin turbo vette with 650 HP. So yes the chevy can make HP also. But your buddy went to far to say he added 250 shot of NOS. Anyone that knows anything about cars would question that.

Here are the chevy links again

PS The Camaro is not a sports car.

PPS I want one of those Renntech's
