| Limerock Park, BMW vintage festival. So labor day weekend is upon us, and Bmw is having their annual Vintage festival. Just curious to see who else plans on attending. I will be there for sure. It is usually a very good event to see some historical BMW's, as well as other vintage cars. You get a mix of pre-war and post war cars. Also the other main draw for me are the BMW art cars, that have a way of appearing. If you plan on going, i look forward to seein you there. ![]()

| here is the article off of LIME ROCK PARK 20 Aug 2007 As the final event of the summer, Lime Rock Park celebrates the past with the Rolex Vintage Festival presented by BMW. This coming Labor Day Weekend, Lime Rock Park will celebrate several important anniversaries. The 50th Anniversary of the track, the 25th Anniversary of Sunday in the Park and the 60th Anniversary of Road and Track magazine, America's premier Automotive Monthly, which has joined Rolex Watch USA and BMW in the Vintage Festival. Lime Rock Park looks forward to another successful event. While Trans-Am cars rocked the spectators at the 2006 running of the Vintage Festival, this year’s special feature will showcase the golden formative years of IMSA when Porsche and BMW fought for glory at tracks throughout America including Lime Rock Park. John Bishop, the founder of IMSA, will be on hand throughout the weekend as will a number of the drivers from that era with a number of 935 Porsches and several significant BMW race cars including Nikki Lauda’s M1 Pro Car which will certainly provide for a great display in the paddock. Ferrari GTOs, yes the expensive ones, will slug it out with Aston Martins MGs, Arnolt Bristols, Allards, Austin Healeys and Lotus. They will all provide a nostalgic but speedy class, and some of the great cars of the pre war era including Alfa Romeo, Bugatti and Miller will recreate the sights and sounds that can normally only be seen on historical film or tape. Sunday in the Park has evolved from an essentially local car show 25 years ago into a comprehensive motoring extravaganza which fills the entire facility with interesting sights and things to do. All of this plus the fabulous Rolex Moments in Time display, a museum quality gathering of cars and artifacts which have made significant contributions to Motorsports History, make for a wonderful day out in the scenic green valley of Lime Rock Park.

| Not pictured are the E24 race car, the Niki lauda M1 pro car, the batmobile in green, and e30m3 that was once driven by Ravaglia. There were some pretty cool cars in the parking lot as well. Some old ferraris parked in the pits, and even some old racing bugatti's. Pretty damn cool event.
