| My 1959 Beetle..... Hi I've been a DTM member a while based in the UK, Loved owning my E36 Coupe but, Roads are stupid busy, looking to change career, looking to move, etc, So I thought it was time for a change. A month or so ago I brought me a 1959 Beetle.... She's a little special with a 1600 Twin port engine on Dual Alfa 36DLRA Carbs. Lighten Fly. 1500 Gearbox. All in All she was dyno'd at 75Bhp at the fly. Not much compared to my E36 but for a 48 year car its not bad! I've got a couple of plans to do over the next year. Just thought it was worth a post  Some pics of course:          I have a new bonnet sprayed up ready to fit sometime this week, and the headliner is being fitted on the 1st of May. Then work will begin on the engine!! Once I've sorted out my career, house....with garage  I will be buying a E36 M3 + plans and returning to the BM Family. Hopefully this explains the Beetle signature to some of you to!!

| aside from the front lid, that is amazingly clean for such an old car. old skl Beetles are the shit, while the new ones are just shit. lil bit o' american word play to work out.

| Everyone can say what they will, but I like the car. You're cleaning up the two problem areas...so it will be great after that. Instead of modding the 4 banger, drop a early mag-case 2.0 porsche flat 6 in it...that would be fun

| Hahaha many times have I thought about a Porsche engine for her!!! If I do go down that route a trip to the states would be in order, believe it or not its cheaper to buy in the states and export to the uk than to buy in the UK! Cheers Guys, once I've fitted the new bonnet I'll add some more photo's!
