Well, I ditched the stock MAS sensor this weekend. Went to Speed-density with the new MAFT-Pro from fullthrottlespeed.com, put in 450 cc/min injectors and raised the boost to 15 PSI. While I was tuning at 6 PSI I killed my buddy's 1JZ-GTE powered MK-III Supra on the highway.

Once I get a larger fuel pump, my daily driver will be set to roll and I can concentrate on the suspension and aero.

Doesn't it work the same sa the old honda Prelude system?

The first 1/2 a turn or so on the wheel they crab turn..

Nice car man Those turbos are tiny, but I guess when you're running a twin turbo set-up, and you've got a v6 instead of a 4 cylinder (like mine), you don't need one huge turbo to make up the difference in displacement I've never heard of turbos that small before, since I'm used to the stock 14b's that come in the eclipses, and then the upgrades from there (16g, 20g, t3/t4, t4, etc...).

What part of St Louis are you in? I live in Fenton, and I work in Fenton as well, where do you usually drive? Since I don't drive very far to work, I don't have much of an opportunity to see other [modded] cars on the road, so it's exciting to see a fellow tuner in the area. All I ever see are those stupid hondas with their stupid fart can mufflers and bleacher seat rear wings, grr.

Anyway, nice, clean car man, good luck with it

Oh, and I agree about the FWD thing, I hate it, lol. I can't wait to get a car with rear wheel drive AWD would be good too, but I want an m3, and those don't come in AWD.

Notice there are no lights inside. The "low beam" a hole the feeds a tube that rams air into the filter. The "high beam" is just painted black circle. Basically what the Supra guys do for more air to turbos....only mine look better.

Nope, it only crabs, and only above 35 MPH.

Since I only have 1.5L per bank pushing each turbo, the turbos will be small. 14b's are a very nice upgrade, and the hot ticket now is a pair of EVO III 16G's. 20G's are used in a couple of cars (all TD05 turbos require custom headers), but they have yet to impress with power and spool numbers. Dynamic's DR kits use t3/t4 framed turbos I think. except for the GT28RS kit (disco potatoes.)

I'm in south county, near 55 and butler hill. I don't drive my car much anymore, but MOD (mitsu owners day) is sept. 9 in Normal IL, and I'm trying to get off work to go. We'll be at the burger king across from Gateway racetrack at 6:30 am to organize a cruise in/convoy. Bring FRS radio. It's a blast and you should go.

And I want a 95 2-door M3. I got the perfect mod list and everything.....just no car.

Yeah, since I've got the smaller compressor cover for my 20g, it spools up faster, and since my intercooler is a lot bigger than I need, it keeps my turbo cooled off just fine. I get full boost between 2500 and 3000 rpms. The only problem is for some reason the stock welds on my intercooler keep busting. A friend and I took off the bumper and used quik steel to cover it up, but I think it busted already...when the welds break, my car backfires sometimes, and it did that the other night while I was racing an '05 or '06 (new bodystyle) mustang. I still beat him though, and only running 16 lbs of boost
I just got my differential replaced, got my lower intercooler piping shortened up (it was hanging lower than my bumper when I bought the car), got a new clutch disc put in, and got the polyurethane mounts put in at a shop in Barnhart called HTP, near where my parents live, and the owner there said that you don't really get the full potential out of a 20g unless you're running at least 18 lbs of boost, but I need a new fuel pump before I do that, and I need a good tune. HTP said they'd install the pump for $60, and tune my car for $60, so its not expensive, but I don't have much money to put into my car right now. I'm probably going to sell it here pretty soon and just save my money and wait until I get out of school before I get an M3. I wan a black '99 two door, and I've got a nice mod list all worked out as well Only three more years of school left...

About the MOD thing, I'd go, except for I have to paint my parents house on the weekends (I've borrowed a lot of money from them, and they're letting me pay it off by painting their house), so I won't be able to make that. If I had the new fuel pump and tune done, and had my intercooler welded up, I would definitely go, and just tell my parents I'd paint later...but even if I went, my car isn't running as well as I'd like it to be.

Well, I'll bring this back to life with an update. And so a mod might see it and move it to the new non-BMW section...

Front mount intercooler is on, larger fuel pmp is in, and even larger injectors are in. I went with 550cc/mic injectors. Couple of things to finish, and weld on an HKS SSQV or two.

And a gratuitous post of a friend's single turbo VR4 on the dyno doing it's best impersonation of an F-16:

Cool man, have you gotten a tune since you got the new fuel pump and injectors?
I finally got my fuel pump and tune done, and she's been running strong at 19 lbs of boost. Although I have a bad feeling that I have another boost leak. It just doesn't seem to be running as strong as it did at first. But at least I'm not cutting out anymore.

With the MAFT-Pro it only took me an hour or two to get a decent tune with good drivablility.

One pull at 24-25 PSI (at half throttle with disconnected wastegates) and I toasted my clutch, blew off my FPR vac lines, and broke the EVO BOV, so the car won't be going anywhere until the SSQV BOV gets here and welded on, along with securing the vac lines better. Then it's clutch time.

just wait till people start modding the 335i BMWs

nothing sexier than seeing a BMW with a BOV screaming,

Im actually debating now on what to get the 335i or the legendary E46 M3.

The 335i is going to be hell to mod. No boost controller made yet can work with their wastegate design. They opperate in reverse of what a normal wastegate does: vacuum holds the gate shut to allow boost, which means if you disconnect the gates you get very little boost. The only way around this is to have an electric vacuum pump hold the gates shut, then you have to figure out a way to regulate it so you can control the boost.

Do you still have the stock clutch, or do you have an aftermarket racing clutch? I've got the ACT 2600 clutch, and its done its job quite well. Its amazing how much more power is put to the ground with a nice, solid racing clutch.
