| ASV Spares Hi Everyone I havnt posted for a while , but i thought i would share my experiance. I own a E36 1992 318i. I have been a long time customer of ASV and i have never had a problem with them , i recentley purchased as window regulator with a motor for my electric windows . It showed on the warrenty papers that there was a 3 month warrenty on the product. Its been a month since i had the product which i took to my electrician who pointed out that the motor was faulty. When i went back to ASV on Saturday to exchange the product , this is what happened. First ASV denied that the product was theirs , to my disbelief as i had watched my electrician take my old one out and put the new one in . ASV claim that they have a procedure where they engrave all their products. I dont think anybody knows that, So ASV say that because the product doesnt have their engraving , its not theirs , so the warrenty is null and void . And i was left there dumb founded at what i was hearing , i mentioned that as a consumer how was i supposed to know if the product was engraved or not ? Yet they still persisted to say that it wasnt theirs. So even though i had my reciept and came back within the warrenty period , i was told that i didnt have a leg to stand on. ASV had then mentioned that it looked like the product had been tampered with and thats why it was faulty. i mentioned again that i had watched the regulator and motor go in and then come back out and then back to ASV. So now ASV have made a claim that the product was tampered. So it started with ASV stateing that the product wasnt theirs and now they claim that the product was theirs however it looked like it had been tampered with. I pointed out to ASV about their change of story and then ASV mentioned that it maybe my car which is faulty , that there could be a fault with my car and not the product . DTM members i have been going to my electrician for 7 years and i trust his work. I couldnt believe what i was hearing . I had enough of the drama that was unfolding and asked what the complaints procedure was and i was informed that there wasnt one , ASV had then informed me that they wanted to leave the product with them and they wanted to test it themselves to see if it was faulty or not and call me back today. So the story goes . First deny its ASV's then accuse me of tampering and then try to lay the fault to my car. So over 190.00 part there is all this rubbish So its Monday now and ASV havent called me back. I just wanted to share with members my experiance and to please be careful as anyone you buy from are great when it comes to sales , but when a problem occurs , you get to see another side which is really sad. I am taking this case to ACCC Peace BEEMIN |

| Hi everyone Just an update on my situation. After various leads to various departments. I had to take my cae to Department of Fair Trading . After following various procedures such as an attempt to reconcile and so on. So the result was that i got my full refund and they kept there Alternator. Its not about the money , its about the principle , we work hard for our money and we all love our cars. Just because ASV and Parra Prestige own the BMW spare parts market in NSW doesnt mean that they can make up there own rules. Once again this is just a heads up to all the DTM members that please look at the fine print , please take your time and know what your buying when it comes to spare parts. BEENIN |
