Welcome. You need to be more specific with your problem. Is the car cranking? Does it do anything at all?

Wink troubled 325e

hey, thanks for the reply.i think i have narrowed it down a little. it is not getting any spark to the engine,so i think either the crank angle sensor or ecu or even possibly the alarm even tho i have never had a prob with the alarm.it is definately a no spark prob.any help would be greatly appreciated !

Most cars cut fuel not spark to the engine, by way of the dme, if it's a factory alarm. But my biggest question is, Is the car cranking, is the engine turning over? Also how many miles are on the car? I'll give you one quick example of why your car may not be starting from my own experience. I was driving home one day and my car just died on me. The engine would turn over but it wasn't firing up. I checked the fuses for the fuel pump. I didn't have any tools on me in the Wal-mart parking lot so I was limited in what i could do. My car has 140,000 miles on it. It was the fuel pump that went up. I personally don't think it's the crank angle sensor. If the engine is turning over is it a weak crank or strong?

troubled 325e

i think my battery is starting to go flat.at first the engine was cranking over but not now.its just the starter motor going.it has done 255 000 kms, sorry i dont know what that is in miles.its an "87 model tho.it is not the factory alarm, its a mongoose one.so you think either the fuel pump or ecu?

Do you have some jumper cables or anything? A weak battery could even be your problem. There are a lot of variables, and it's hard to give advice if I can't see or hear what's going on. There has to be someone mechanically inclined close to you that could help you.
