The BAV AUTO SHOW TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK

How the BAV show is won really gets me mad because there is only 3 ways to win that SHOW!!!!!! One the EXTREMELY RARE WAY - you have an unbelievable car. I mean a real true SHOW STOPPER (Example-euro werks M5). Something no one has ever seen before. But please do yourself a favor and don't hold your breath, it rarely ever happens. Two you spend a CRAP LOAD OF MONEY at BAV Auto $$,$$$!!!!! (I'm talking 5 figures) Or the third way and what happens almost every year is people having multiple votes. People bring there entire family including their cousins from both sides of the family as well as their door neighbors. Then they steal 18 voting pads and fill it all out for them selves.

All I am trying to saying is that there are a bunch of cheaters that win at BAV Show. I shall give you a PRIM example of the 2005 year the E30 that won the show (and won the 2006 show) was the BEST E30 I have ever seen Hands down! Absolutely! But the other 2 cars were CRAP the Phoenix Yellow E36 only won because his entire family was filling out ballets through out the show. What was really funny about that car was that he managed to pissed everyone off with their extremely load music that cracked through JBL speakers. Which by the end of the show he was down to 2 mids and 1 tweeter that was about to blow. As for that PISS POOR EXCUSE FOR A HAMANN M3 that everyone fell in love with. I’m sure you can guess as to why he won the best of show and is still featured in the BAV AUTO catalog …… As for the car that was the worse body work I have ever seen on a car with such recognition. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP! If anyone saw that car up close you could tell how poorly it was done. It looked as if they stuck the fender flares with some left over chewed GUM. Seriously you could stick a quarter on its edge between the fender and those universal flares with out and rubbing. Not to shadow the fat that it was an automatic 330 with a 6 speed shift knob and a shift boot. What was that about? (you ask) I have no idea? As for the black JAGGED strip going across the hood it looked as if it was painted in some ones back yard with a spray can and a piece of crushed up aluminum tin foil to make a straight edge. This is what I wait for each year at the BAV SHOW.

Now please do not misconstrued this, I am not bitter by any means that my car has never wow. Nor do I feel as if my car could stand a chance against the TRUE or POTENTIAL WINNERS at this show (The E30 M3’s, E60 M5’s or even the 2002tii Touring Edition etc.). I am an absolutely true BMW Enthusiast and I will be the first to say and when it comes to rating cars I AM EXTREMELY HARSH. Your car must be extremely clean, paint must be flawless, your body work undeniably perfect, and your body lines straight were they need be to win a car show. I personally feel if you’re going to have a “SHOW” with 200+ cars and only hand out 3 trophies you need to be extremely picky as to who you are going to give it to. If your going to let in cars that are in primer status or just got into a accident the day before and there body panels are dragging on your concrete (which also happened in the 2005 show) then you should call it a meet not a “Show”.

But my whole point to this post is when it comes to true BMW shows like BMW WEST COAST show/ meet it is extremely big not to mention all the other BMW shows that happen out west. As for our BMW EAST COAST show/ meet if it even still goes on is a JOKE because of the amount of people and cars that show up. So our big show is the BAV auto show. It is the biggest show are in this area and they should be treaded with dignity and respect for themselves and us as enthusiasts and have a voting team or reduce the about of ballets that are being handed.

I agree with the multiple vote trick, I've been at Bavauto show and shine a few times when I was living there and I do notice it.

They should probably have the staff go and judge the cars instead.

Ahh yes... I remember walking around hot and drunk Then sweat it all out by the end of the day
