on par if not cheaper than most high end private golf courses in the Boston area.

Black Rock in Hingham is $75k - $150k initiation + $50k per year for golf

So for the next couple of years, this would help them balance their books. Lime Rock is so expensive, because they have to give X amount of days to Skid Harder which is still only paying 1960s rates. I, personally, always thought that Lime Rock was one of the most over hyped racetracks in N America. More fun than NHIS, but nothing compared to VIR, WGI, Mosport etc etc.

Will they still have races there?
Will they still rent the track to groups like BMWCCA?
Will they allow motorcycles?
Will they build garages for their customers? (love to see them push that past the Lakeville zoning board)
How is the country club crowd gonna react to not being able to drive on Sundays?

Thanks man! All credit goes to Phil Sansossio, he did the work. It took me the better part of the winter to track down the correct paint codes from the 60's...and i just got a letter from GULF giving me permission to use the logo on the car, so it's as accurate as it could possibly be.

I read thru it and it doesn't appear that by having this club anything has changed at LRP for the rest of us. The brochure promises each member 20 private track days out of a possible 60 dates. The membership is limited to 300 people. The car storage will be off-site but with a concierge service that will bring your car to the track. There will be a private club house and a private "new pit lane"(can't figure where that is going). It appears to be a way for the track to raise the funds needed to resurface and update the facility. This will give them $33million up front and then another $2million a year in dues, but they're going to have to keep renting the track to the rest of us, becuase that can't possibly cover the annual operating expenses.
I just hope this doesnt mean that all club days will be in the middle of the week.

It's already the most expensive track to get anyways, what's another $300 on top of the usual entrance fee?? They've got issues, maybe this will keep them around a bit longer but they'll be done soon. Sad days.

Doesn't look like I wil EVER get the chance to drive LRP. Maybe its a blessing in disguise. I can't tell you all how many times I got douched out of driving at LRP. Shit, I even paid for it once and didn't drive it.

BTW- Eric?!? again. long time no see no hear...and the new paint work does look very,very nice indeed.
