New England HID Group Buy.

Thank you CMT and the other NE mods for the thumbs up on this thread.

I have recently started dealing with a different HID manufacturer that has been manufacturing HID kits for over 4 years.

In the past few months I have found that this may be the best value for the money in the lighting industry. I’ve sold over 2 dozen of these kits and have had not one bad comment about them. Price, performance, quality and warranty are all top notch.

Since I am buying the kits at a very competitive price, I can pass some savings on to the DTMNE members.

So I officially announce, DTMNE's HID GROUP BUY

I am having the kits packaged under the HALO name brand. As far as I know they have not been sold in New England before.

Here’s some details:
These HID kits are assembled with German made Phillips bulbs (OEM bulbs on many American, Asian and European vehicles) and Japanese made FET ballasts (FET owns CATZ and these are the OEM Ballasts for Acura, Honda, Toyota and Lexus)

These kits will replace a standard halogen or xenon bulb without modification. That’s right, plug and play.

The entire kit comes with a full 1 year warranty, bulbs included.

Kits are available in the following sizes:
H1
H3
H4(HB2)*
H7
H11
H13(9008)*
9004(HB1)*
9005(HB3)
9006(HB4)
9007(HB5)*
*these applications are low beam only, high beam will be lost.

All HID kit sizes are available in these different Kelvin intensities:
4300K (OEM appearance)

3000K (yellow for fog light)

6000K (hyper white)

8000K (white with little blue)

10000K (super blue)

12000k (dep purple)

Please excuse this picture, I borrowed it:

For those of you who have used XTEC & HELIOS, I have tested these kits side by side and found that my Halo kits outperform the XTEC and Helios kits at the same Kelvin rating. My Halo HID’s seem to produce a cleaner and brighter light. I can’t explain why, but the manufacturer tells me the difference is due to our superior ballast.

If you have OEM HID’s, I also have replacement D2S and D2R Xenon Bulbs.
These Xenon bulbs will fit any factory HID system as a replacement for blown bulbs, or as upgrades.

They are available from OEM 4300K to 1200K, in the same Kelvin ratings as the kits.

PM Me for exact pricing. Please include year, make, model and which bulbs you are looking for. I will reply with price.

The complete kits will sell for under $300.

They retail for $599. So its your chance to purchase at wholesale price.

I will be accepting cash, certified funds, and Paypal.

I can ship them, they can be picked up in Lowell or Waltham, or I may even be able to deliver if I am traveling in your area.

Finally, please do not use this thread to sell your items, please start your own, thanks.

If your car uses any of these bulbs, they'll fit.

I've sold them to people who installed them in the following cars that I know of:
98' Volvo
96' Maxima
97' E36
05' Pacifica
02' A4
98' Jetta (lost high beam) not that it matters.

It doesn't matter what kind of car, just the bulb size.

Only on applications using dual filiment bulbs for hi/lo from the one bulb.

If you have two seperate bulbs, its not an issue.

Wont the HID's overpower my highbeams? Or not so because they are in a different direction? And whats the diff between HID and the brighter bulbs at the store? Just wanna know some things before I go spend money.

You can if you want, There is no limit to how many you can buy.

I recommend that you do not waste your money on the high beams. You'll never use them. The HID's are that much better than what you have now.

Please send any other questions to via PM.

I'm in, just can't decide between the 8k and 10k. I'm afraid that super blue will look bad on a red mustang.

Remember the higher K value you select, the less light (lumens) is actually produced.
My personal opinion is that I wouldn't go over 6000K for anything other than a show car. Most factory bulbs are 4300K which will have the highest/whitest light output.

The reason most factory HID's look blue is due to the angle at which you view them since the lens of the projector can have a prism effect on the light.

Phil, I would like to replace my corvette fogs with hid ones, do you have anything that might work?

SO getting these for the Maxima. I'm so used to having HIDs on the 325 that when I drove the Maxima at night for the first time I thought I was going blind.

Just have to make sure you carry the size I need for it.

w00t! The Maxima uses HB1 9004 bulbs!

At night nobody will see the color of your car, just the bright headlights and a flash of car as you go by.

Either send me the bulb size in a PM, or the year of the vette, and I'll see if I can get them. Fog light applications for American cars is tough, there are so many bulbs used by the different car companies.
