Hey i was wondering if the living expesese in germany are greater than here in america. Im really interested in moving there. A good friend of mine is stationed there for tha air force and she told me that the drving test there are way harder than here. ANd is the average price of a car over there the same as here?

MUch thanks for the info ahead of time

well all i can say is that we pay for our drivinglicens about € 1500,-- and the test is not that easy. most of the cars (especially bmw) are cheaper in the states than here in germany just configer one on bmw.com and the same one on bmw.de you will see differences. and we pay € 1.18 for 1 L of 98 octan gas. so you can say germany is extrem expensive. but we love our autobahn...;o)

I am thinking about doing a study abroad program in Munich...do you think that it a good place for a 20 year old college student to spend 5 months, or would somewhere else in Germany be better?

Yeah that is what I was thinking as well. My great grandparents are from Munich and I have always wanted to go there. Do you think the language barrier is a big problem? I can speak a little German, but not much.

munich is wonderfull, especially the oktoberfest. the language barrier wont be a problem. nearly everybody can speak a bit english so there wont be a problem and you can also talk with your hands and feets. you will never get lost.

Munich is nice, bin there once. When you are located in Germany go visit Hamann and AC Schnitzer in Achen.
