Drag racing advice

I'm thinking about taking my '94 325is out to the drag races just to see what kind of numbers I can pull. I'd like to know what RPM's you quarter mile guys launch at and any other advice you may have for me. I autocross and do track days regularly, but have never been to the drags before so hook me up with some tips and tricks if you've got any.
