| I'm not bashin the true, TRUE japanese cars like the Top Secret Supra or the Signal Auto Skyline and Sil180, but more of the ones where they put a universal muffler on, or a friggin soup can as an exhaust. Where they get the gay blinking light thing that goes on the air cap for your wheels, or the washers for your windows. But yea I know there are some Japanese cars out there that could very easily tear up a Viper and what not, but that is usually a Supra or something in that range of power. I just can't stand the civics, neons and cavaliers that look like someone took a dump on them and wasted their money with parts from APC. |

| I saw a civic with a kit, neonw and a fart car muffler out maneuver a BMW in the twisties, becasue he knew how to drift. Dont know the cars - respect the better driver. Im sure there are people out there who can outdrive me if they were on a bigwheel. Bash rice all you want- but if a driver knows his sh*t, he knows his sh*t. -JinX

| Off subject I saw a new Neon Srt-4 I heard that they can give an E36 M3 a run for it's money but I'll still take my ///M. Any way i can heel toe pretty good but then again I can drift also.

Heres my attempt at an explanation: When braking, you pivot your foot with your toe on the brake and put your heel on the gas. Push in the clutch, and while you are shifting push the gas with your heel to rev the engine. Then just let out the clutch and continue braking and do it again or go to maintenance throttle and take the corner. Yeah lately i've been working on heel toe shifting. Just try it out on back roads and stuff. Don't worry about drifting, you have to be good at it to do it quickly and efficiently. Heel toe shifting keeps the revs high, so only really use it on the track, because it is unneeded for daily driving. After like a weekend of practice you'll get pretty good at it. The harder you're braking and the higher your revs are before you shift the easier it is to heel/toe.

533 gave a pretty good description of how to heel-toe downshit. If you have the basic idea down, just go out and see what feels comfortable for you. |

| Here's the sequence: move right foot over to cover both brake & accelerator pedal brake with toe (& keep it there, but feather it) clutch in shift to neutral clutch out rev match with heel on accelerator clutch in shift to lower gear clutch out foot off brake accelerate Believe it or not, I shift like this on nearly EVERY downshift! Sounds complex... Just takes a little (okay, a lot) of practice! Note: I personally don't use my heel and toe, but rather my big to (ball of foot) on the brake & roll the foot over to the accelerator with the small toes... I think most people do it this way.
