Do i need driving gloves and shoes?

I have my first track event coming up in a few weeks (track time class at road america) and wondering if I need to invest in some racing shoes or gloves?

Shoes make things a whole lot simpler, it lets you concentrate on the driving, rather than making sure you can feel the pedals/heel and toe. Gloves help for feel and the absorb the sweat your hands give off. I use both gloves and shoes (of the Sparco variety). Hope I helped.

Shoes and gloves dont make the driver , its the driver that makes the shoes and gloves.

I agree. Cross trainers and running shoes are they're greatest. 've got an old pair of soccer shoes I usually drive in.

Try some sprinting shoes , that runners use for track events
The idea is to have a thin sole with some grip.

I have wrestling shoes for driving and for drumming. they're light. I've seen some people wear them out, I wouldn't. Just for track or mountain runs. hehe

yeah, you know the replacables. The big plastic sole is good for pedal feel.
