| usually i dont like eclestone, but in this case he is actaually the one pushing for a new look at the changes made. although races have become much more exiting, im not sure it is directly related to the new rules. while some of the new rules are good, many are ridiciculous and need to be fixed. such as the lack of exitement for qualifying. |

| I like the fuel idea in qualifing. Adds a bit more of team strategy to the race (and shouldn't affect "good drivers" adversly). But the single lap is kinda sketchy. The two lap would be a little better IMHO. -Prince |

| I am enjoying the new "start with qualifying fuel" rule. As you said PrinceE30 it adds a new dimension to the way teams evaluate and prepare strategy for the race. Start with a light fuel load and get a good pole position but have to pit 3 times or start with a full tank and take advantage with pitting twice or once. And there is plenty of strategy in between these two extremes. As for the single lap qualifying, I love it. It makes the driver go for that perfect lap, nothing but him and the track. It is very exciting to watch as well, when Barrichello took pole by .011s on friday I went ape-shit like the Brazilians in the stands. Yup, Barrichello retired because of a "fuel-feel problem". I was wondering about the tires though. FIA rules stipulate that the team has to start with the same tires as in qualifing. Now with the tire blankets and the 3 laps during qualifying do you guys think that the tires are able to go through an entire heat cycle? So when the race starts teams will have the advantage of starting on scrubbed tires? Or not? What do you think? Also do you think Michelin has stepped up a level to out perform the Bridgestones?
