| I've always stood by my helmet- the Bieffe Predator. It's Snell 00 now, so you're fine for a long time as far as that goes. Its a CF/fiberglass composite- so its a really light helmet, which is important for me- i get headaches easily with heavy helmets. (i've had that problem through sports i've played.. Hocket, Lacrosse..) It's only like $355, so its not TOO expensive, and its superlight, comfortable as hell, removeable washable liner, and it looks really sweet. Plus there are many visors available and the eyeport is suited for a sedan driver.. so its plenty big. F1 replicas are also available.. ![]() |

| I use an open faced HJC CL-5. It was quite inexpensive (~$125) because I didn't have much money at the time and was not into autox/track much at the time. Eventually I'll get rid of it as I get more serious about DE's. I really like an open view area, so that usually means an open faced or more expensive closed. here's a link to it http://www.hjchelmets.com/cl5.html |

| I bought a G-Force SA2000 approved helmet for $220 at a local dirt track shop. I know of others using this helmet and they all seem to like it. I believe it is Kevlar/FG construction.

| Basically open-faced helmets are just about useless. They're also not allowed for most kind of events. I use a Bell M2 which has a large viewport. You get used to the viewing restrictions (versus an open face) very quickly. It's light and a great value for the $$$. See here: http://www.saferacer.com/bellm2.html
