| Definatly the best F1 race in a long time. The new qualifying rules about having to start on the same amount of gas you qualified in sounds stupid but makes the race a bit more exciting. I still don't think its the best way to go about it. It defeats the purpose of getting that perfect lap. And some random thoughts: - It's good to see Ferrari doesn't have everyone by the balls anymore speed wise. - Kimi gets the move of the race for pushing MS off onto the grass. ![]() - What about Panis in the Toyota up to like 5th or 6th on the first lap!? - Renault is going to win one this year, mark my words . - Ralf was on a tear from the back but he still isn't where he should be. My prediction is he is done at BMW after his contract is up. Tom

| I know, I was bragging in the halls at school today, like it was last night's NBA game or something. Talk about being a BMW geek!

| Ian- yeah you're right, but I'm just glad Schuey didn't blaze the field, and honestly i was unsure if BMW was going to even perform that well. I was skeptical after so-so qualifying results on Friday, and from reading the press release from BMW saying they were not happy with the car's performance in pre-season testing. So i'm just glad that such is not the case and they've got a real competitive car- though as Tom said, many other teams do as well. BAR and Toyota qualified very well, but like Tom also said - Ralf is gonna get canned after this contract for sure. Anyone know when that expires anyway? It's unfortunate that Montoya blew the win, but it DOES happen- hell remember when Muller blew the Petit Le Mans in like 2000 on the LAST lap through turn 7 in the V12 LMR? Even the greats faulter, and Montoya is already knows as overly-aggressive, so its not too surprising, though its certainly not excuseable. |

| The Pshop jobs are funny, but what's the deal with that? Coulthard is very talented, and after getting second preference with McLaren due to Mika's dominance i'm glad to see him have the oppurtunity to shine. I'm sure he'll have a great season if the McLarens are as hot as they evidenced they were at Melbourne- he's certainly a top contender for the championship this year. Of course i would love to see Montoya take it, we shall see! |
