Just watched the best F1 race I've seen in 2 yrs.

Wow, what a great race. There was actually passing, wheel to wheel racing, and pit-stops have everything to do with deciding the outcome! At first I was leery of the new rules, but now after seeing the first race, I am all for them. What are you guys' thoughts?

I agree! Awesome race, and especially awesome to see Ferrari off the podium since 99

I missed it. I was watching the Roy Jr. fight. Well at least Montoya came in second.

YES tell us, I didn't watch the conference.. but saw the race.
I thought the new regulations would just plain suck, but the new F1 is better than ever (maybe too soon to say?)

BMW was second on the podium, flanked on 1st and 3rd by McLaren.

I was there!!! What an awesome race!!! It was my first of many GP races. The battle for second/third/fourth was just awesome! Montoya is a great driver. You really have to see him in person to appreciate it. I'm glad Ferrari didn't have a podium finish. Hopefully there will be more competition this year with the new rules

There are a few. The major ones are that you only get 1 qualifying lap, so if you make a mistake in that lap, it's too bad. Also, how you qualify is how you start the race. Eg if you qualify with half a tank, you start the race with half a tank. I believe you are allowed to change your tyres and settings to the front wing, but thats about it.
Also, the teams can't modify the car from the pits while it's on the track, and they will be banning traction control I think from the Malaysian GP.

hahahaah classic colombian (im from colombia) gotta love a good race specially when a "compatriota" in a BMW is doing so well, sucks he dindt get first though.

watched it last nite, and defiantely was a great race... i'm just pissed as hell cause i'm at school and we don't get speed
