| We actually talked to the blonde, she was a ditz and didnt know anything about the car... she worked for F1 and she was out promoting the car. Did any of you guys stay at the Classic Motor Inn? that place was such a ripoff, but almost worth it because it was right across from the track. Saturday morning me and my cousin were waiting outside the entrance before the gates opened, and we saw both Ralph Shumacher and JP Montoya drive in, in identical 745Li's. We also saw Jacques Villeneuve in the passenger seat of some van as he was pulling into the track. My cousin got JPM and Connie (his fiance)'s autographs on his Montoya shirt, they had an autograph session at 2:45 on Saturday, between the F1 qualifying and the 360 challenge qualifying... We missed the gt3 challenge though As far as the race goes, Montoya didnt seem to be pushing too hard throughout the race, I was in the Southeast Vista, at turn 12, and Ralph was obviously faster in and out of those last 2 or 3 corners. However, what Montoya did in the last few laps was a testimony to his ability, Coulthard was starting to push harder too, but still couldn't hold him off. The only question I have is... why didnt JPM drive like that the whole race????? he would've come pretty close to the ferrari's. Also, I didnt notice at the race, but I read afterwards, that JPM pitted 10 laps early, Patrick Head said that if he hadn't, he could've come close to the ferrari's. JPM and Ralph are friendly on the job, but off the job they dont talk much... according to all the interviews I've read. |

| I've got to admit that I'm somewhat surprised as I thought you guys would be more into Nascar, IRL and cart than F1 So how to you think F1 compares to the likes of Cart cars and IRL? F1 is huge over here and most of the teams are based in England On thje subject of Senna he was an amazing talent. I remember him at the European GP at Donnington Park 93 in a Mclaren that was was a V8 customer engine and not even the works spec. He was 7th on the grid. By the end of the first last he was 1st. It was probably one of the greatest lap every in an F1 car that I've see. But he was also a very very dirty driver would would rather smash you off the race track than let you will. With the talent that the guy had he didn't need to be like that. I could name countless time so such incidents he's done. I still think he was one of the greatest driver of all time and was taken from us too soon. I would have like to see him battle with Schumacher in the Williams the year he died, as that was a great car. He was a great qualifer too. i used to love him and Mansell go at it. He was another great driver with some of the biggest balls of any racing driver ever. The guy was great total commitment. I'm glad that F1 is taking off in the US. I've been watching it for as long as I can remember which must be a good 25 years ![]()

| Man, F1 and WRC are my very favorite types of racing!!! I'm glad F1 is starting to gain at least some popularity in the US, I wish WRC was more popular... Nascar = crap, IRL and Cart are ok but I don't watch them regularly. Speedvision GT rocks, so does ALMS, or basically any touring car series. But I'm very much in the minority of the American public.... most people on these boards are more into what I am though. The average American is duh about most of it though...(and about everything else really...)... Anyway, F1 rocks! I gotta get my tickets for the next USGP soon! Gotta get the front row again...now to figure out where to sit this time.... |

| WRC is great, most of those guys are based over in the UK too. Where very big with motorsport. I think WRC drivers are some of the best drivers in the world, to have that kinda car control on any surface, at the sort of speeds they driver at is incredible. And when they get it wrong it's normally a tree or something equally hard that they hit. Maybe they will have a USA round soon ![]()

| USGP re-run is on Speed Channel right now incase anyone wants to watch it again.... M3Pilot: I wish they'd have a US rally, that would be awesome!! I don't think it will happen for a while though, they'd prolly get the hell sued outta them for letting people stand near where the cars drive, heck no probably about it.... After all, in the USA you can so anyone at any time. ![]() |
