| Just sums up BMW's year. JPM trying to prove he is faster than Ralf, but Ralf doesnt want any of it. Williams/BMW needs to get their shit together, fast. Because soon Jordan, Renault, and Toyota are gonna start kicking there ass. And then BMW is going to panic, throw some 1 Billion dollars to start their own team, then pull out after 4 or 5 years because they arent doing as well as they want. ![]() Now I see in my crystal ball... Tom

| Ralph has proven himself moreso than Kimi has. BMW would do well to keep the team of Schumacher and Montoya together. They like each other and they are both solid drivers. btw... Nice to finally meet you Dado. Really good to see the man behind the magic finally. You too Nick ![]() I'll try and post my pics later this week. Not quite as good as Dado's. But some cool stuff nonetheless. -Prince |

Montoya I'm sure would have loved to hound Schumacher, but no one outside of Ferrari had the car to do it. I have no doubt Montoya is probobly the fastest driver in F1 right now, but he doesn't have the full package. He makes way too many mistakes, and whether this is a Williams thing or what, but there is very little consistency to his results. IMO, Williams is lagging behind in the development of the chassis. BMW is pushing their engines far and above what everyone else is doing. While most teams are running their engines to 17050, BMW is going to 19000's. Thats amazing, for some engines that reach there limit 2000 RPM's lower. That's like trying to push an I6 to 9000 or 9500. Renault, Jordan, Toyota, Jaguar, BAR all have great drivers. Thats not the problem with them. The only problem is their budget and development on the cars, and probobly a bit in the front office as to designing a great car. As in any non-spec championship, driver skill doesn't play as big a role anymore. No doubt it means a win, or a 2nd, but drivers today are all very skilled and while the fan may not look at some of the drivers in as great a light as JPM, the Schuey's, Hakkinen, Coulthard, Hill, all of those drivers that have had success, someone like Villeneuve who has won a drivers title already in F1, doesn't even get looked at. Just imagine Schuey running around in the back. Is he a bad driver? No, neither is Villeneuve. As you can see I like my racing Tom

| Awesome pics Dado! Where where you seated? I took alot of pics but most of them came out crappy...I'll post the good ones tomorrow though I'm kinda tired. Just got home after leaving at 5:30 this morning to get there! Damn I missed the BMW-Williams booth thing, where was it at?! ![]() The race was kind of boring from a racing stand point, but it was AMAZING actually being there! If any of you guys were thinking of going to the next F1 race but weren't sure DO IT!! OMFG it was sooo awesome. The sounds are awesome! Those cars are SO loud. My ears were ringing at least 2 hours after the race. I almost wet myself when the cars first pulled onto the track. Those cars are flat out no kidding better than sex. I'd take 10 minutes with one of those over 10 hours with any girl in the world, seriously. I'm still in shock how awesome it was being there (yeah, obviously this was my first time ).... I sat at right at Turn 1 in section J, first row! I gotta watch the video tape tomorrow and see if I was on TV. The camera was right across from me so I should be somewhere backthere... Being at the race was so awesome... I think I'll be in shock for a month. |

| DAMN I wish I would have known you guys were there. I did a search on USGP before I left and found squat. I live out in BFE and never get to meet any of you DTM guys. I was sitting in section J and saw the "incedent" between the BMW boneheads. If I was Frank or Patick I would be PISSED! I think I would drop one or the other of them. I would drop Juan if I wanted a "balanced team" where no driver was one or two, they were both equal. I would drop Ralphy boy if I was going to set up a clear #1 and #2 driver, and make Juan #1 obviously. These guys are little boys and can't handle working together.

Montoya is still young...a lot to learn. And I agree about the complete package. He needs time and experiance. F1 is it. The ultimate. Another year and he'll be prime and ready for a Constructor's Championship. Let's just pray for Williams and a great new chassis in 2003!!! ![]() -Prince |

| Damn Dado, you captured that one perfect man. Give the team some time. You can't win overnight unless you can bring Senna back. This race summed up F1 in a nutshell. You get out front, your straight. There isn't any room for error. Of course I say that and we saw what Shuey did two years ago. But I'm still happy for Rubey. He was fast as hell all day too!

| Just walked in the door. Apparently a Chevy Suburban is faster than an airline. ![]() The trip was great, lots of fun. I'll eventually have some pictures up of Friday's activities... but the camera I was using broke so I just let Dado take the rest of the pictures. Don't wear all black on a 90-degree sunny day next time, moron. ![]() There is NO WAY Michael messed up. He was solidly ahead of Rubens the entire race. He was just making up for the team orders earlier this year that kept Rubens from having that win. I thought it was a great gesture, especially since Rubens is my favorite driver. Sad to say it, but except for the actual race, the support series were much more interesting than the formula one. I actually fell asleep during one of the F1 practice sessions. The Ferrari Challenge and Porsche Supercup were awesome though, always some action. And I can't count how many 360's and 911's spun out/wrecked in front of us . ![]() I will be going again next year, either to Indy or to the Montreal Grand Prix. Quote:
And finally... my new favorite highway cruiser is a 2002 Suburban LT. No BMW can match the highway comfort of big SUV, especially for five people It made the 10-hour trip a lot easier.
