new hp numbers

so i got back from the dyno today. and the new motor makes 133whp and 172 wtq. this is an SCCA classed car for ITA yes A not S so i do have the ETA motor that was good for 121 hp and 170 tq at the flywheel when was new 22 years ago. my old motor was good for about 110 whp and 146 wtq. now here is the part that i just dont believe the new motor makes more TQ from 1600 to 4600 then the peak of the old motor and at 2000 has 50 more TQ. BTW stock redline was 4800 and old shift point was 4500 rpms

Hmm, interesting. That's a rather large bump in power.

I guess you just have a really good motor, it's rare to have such a large bump in power, but with anything mechanical I've learned that surprises like that are more common than you think. I had my car dynoed a few years back and after correcting for losses at the drive train we were able to determine I was making 20 more hp than it should have been making.

well the old motor had 310000 miles on it where this one has 500

310K miles? Damn. Yeah, 500 miles vs 310K miles is a huge difference and I would think that would be the discrepancy in power numbers.
