| Trackdays in California Hi Guys I'm coming over to the States in January, landing at LAX and then out of San Francisco two weeks later. I would love to sample an American circuit whilst I'm in the US so does anyone have any recommendations? I would need to hire a car as well, so any links to sites or details of tracks would be really great. Failing that, does anyone have any tips for motorsport or custom car related places to visit as we make our way up the coast? Thanks in advance and I wish you all a Happy New Year ![]() Stuart |

| Reg Pridmore CLASS day for CALmoto and Tri-Valley Moto Customers ![]() ![]() September 2009 Reg Pridmore Track School, Monday, October 12th, at Infineon Raceway We will be organizing a group of riders to go to the Reg Pridmore Track School on Monday, October 12th, at Infineon Raceway. (Sears Point to those of you who remember that far back...) Reg's schools differ from most track days in the level of instruction and the advantage of Reg's years and years of experience both as a national champion and creator of one of the first Track Schools. Reg Pridmore CLASS Track School This school is broken up into three groups: A, B, and C. The C group is for complete beginners. It is not frightening or intimidating. You ride at your own comfortable speed at all times. There are plenty of instructors to show you the correct lines, body position, throttle control, above all smoothness, and all the things that go into making a better rider out of you, both on the track and on the street. Smoothness, confidence and control are the foundation of the school. Passing is allowed, but only on the outside of the rider in front. This rule is for safety reasons. The B group is for riders who have limited experience on the track, but have not taken many track days and prefer to ride a little faster than the C group riders. During the day you may find yourself moving from C to B or vice versa depending on your experience and ability. Again, passing is allowed only on the outside of the rider in front. ![]() The A group is fast! This group is for people who have extensive track time and perhaps roadracing experience. The objective of this group is to build racing skills and learn how the bike works at the rider's limits. Instruction is available at this level as well as at the lower levels. A level riding is not recommended if you are not comfortable at high speeds. Instructors may suggest a move from one class to another depending on what they observe about your riding. ![]() Each group goes out by itself, and has classroom time in the interim. I would like to get RSVP's as soon as possible so I can lock in places for everyone who would like to attend. The price for one day of track time and classroom instruction is $295.00 and I can assure you from my own experience with different track days it is well worth it! Equipment requirements: Driver's license with motorcycle endorsement, Leather riding suits, or Nylon/Kevlar suits as long as they are well-padded, are OK. No chaps or light mesh riding suits. Leather gloves, padded in knuckle and palm area, that cover the wrist. Leather boots that MUST cover your ankles. Recently fitted new tires. Overly worn tires will be rejected. Clean, streetworthy motorcycle 250cc or larger. Positively NO fluid leaks. Strong, effective brakes (check your brake pads before you come). No excessively loud or open pipes. Stock mufflers are recommended. Please RSVP as soon as you know if you can make the track day. Payment for track reservations should be made directly to www.CLASSrides.com, and the class will fill up quickly. Please feel free to call me at any time at 650-966-1183 x3, or e-mail me your questions and I will do my best to answer them. For more info on CLASS Motorcycle School click here.
