BimmerWorld: All New BimmerWorldRacing.com Site Launched

SPEED World Challenge Touring Car team overhauls fan site in time for the first race of 2008

With fresh cars and fresh faces in place for the BimmerWorld BMW touring car team, a major re-design of the team’s website, BimmerWorld Racing was the next ‘new look’ feature for the team to develop.



In partnership with web specialists BrandNewEngine.com, team owner James Clay used the off season to invest a lot of time and energy to enrich the appearance and content within the website.



“World Challenge races are only an hour long on SPEED, but there’s so much more that goes on during race weekends that fans never get to see. We overhauled BimmerWorldRacing.com to showcase all of the great new content fans of our team, drivers, and cars can enjoy.”



With a heavy emphasis on web videos, driver blogs, photo galleries, and fan interaction, Clay hopes the new site will be a ‘must-see’ both during and after each race weekend. “We have a lot of innovative in-car videos planned, event reports, driver blogs at each round by Seth Thomas, Nick Esayian, and me, even BMW Ringtones captured from inside our screaming E90 inline-six cylinder engines. Our fans and customers tell us they wanted more on BimmerWorldRacing.com, so that’s exactly what we’re doing.”



New features are also planned for roll out in the coming weeks. Team profiles for the BimmerWorld Racing crew, BimmerWorld sponsors, and the opportunity to reach out to the BimmerWorld drivers to ask questions on racing and driving suggestions are on the way.



“BimmerWorld is filled with people that have dedicated their lives to the BMW brand and all that goes into transforming them into the best street or track car. I’m looking forward to fans and enthusiasts being able to reach into our team to ask questions on how to improve their BMW or the best driving techniques behind the wheel of their BMW.”



Another major element of the BimmerWorldRacing.com overhaul will involve showcasing the exciting customer-owned cars produced from BimmerWorld’s shop. “Project and customer cars are the core of our business—while we race on the weekends, we’re working hard during the week to build and deliver exciting BMW track and street cars for our clients, so featuring those unique cars on the new racing site is a natural fit.”



With the launch of new BimmerWorldRacing.com this week, the next major ‘launch’ will be for Clay, Thomas, and Esayian as they kick off the 2008 SPEED TC season at Sebring, Florida, on Friday, March 14th. Look for event updates and exclusive content on BimmerWorld Racing starting next week.
