| the RSS is track oriented; but not a full race suspension; it's a track day / club sport suspension... At least it uses H&R single rate springs. Turner Motorsport - Item# RSS1726-1 - E30M3 H&R RSS Club Sport Suspension - E30 I believe the KW kits are more street oriented, with a little track day ability; but I think they use progressive rate springs; like the OEM springs.

| Some friend of mine are driving KW III for the Ring. This suspension has many options for set up. I bought a K-Sport suspension for racetracks, with harder springs. You can adjustable high and low, tension and compression stroke. You can get different springs for this. It's complete alloy and very light. You can offer every little part from this set. In this package is a set of adjustable camber plates for front and rear. Look to this site: K-SportRacing

| I honestly love my KW Variant 2's. The ONLY thing I don't like is their proprietary swabar links. But my springrate up front is 400 and I have progressive in the rear and it's still stiff. I'm thinking about replacing them with some eibach 500 pound springs, but we'll see If you lived in Seattle, I'd let you give it hell and see for yourself. I would go with KW, simply because they have this really nice anti-rust and corrosion treatment that they do and I like the tender springs, so you don't have to babysit your car when you lower it off of jack stands. I do know that KW is the suspension of choice in Germany. That should help your decision =) Also, you can always swap out progressive springs in the rear for linear springs. Honestly though, you'll be happy with either brand. See who gives you the best deal and go with it. Just know that KW is known to have a better street ride.

| Well, the H&R coilovers offer is $300 cheaper and they seem to be the one that's more track oriented. The car won't be street driven except to/from the track, so soft-ish springs are a no especially with the added weight up front from the M50 swap. I know springs can be swapped and all at later stages. I'm trying to hit a spot-on set up from first go or be as close as possible to it. So far I've seen a 500# front rate and 550/600# rear rates on similar cars but that's an average, so give or take... What do you think the rates should be? Stripped out interior with the M50 engine..And thanks for the invitation to abuse that devil, wish I lived there ![]() |
