help wit rear strut bar

i need help on how to instal a rear strut bar on a 1996 328is. i removed all the trunk carpeting, but do i remove the stuff on top of were the struts bolt to on my car in the trunk. any info on how to instal it would be great

are you talking about how to access the bolts that hold the shock in? if so, in the interior or the car, take off the rear speaker covers, just pull them forward towards the front of the car. Then remove the screws that hold the speaker/box in place and with a flathead, pry loose the metal clip holdingit up, then remove the speaker assembly. then remove the padding in the trunk and your set, its a pita just to get to though, haha good luck
