What is a "racing license"?

I called Lime Rock and they said you need a "racing license" to race on test and tune day. Kinda vague. Does this license mean you can drive in any class with any car in the United States?

They want an SCCA license or BMWCCA club racing license, both of which you get from attending their schools.

Go to limerock.com. They have a list of all the licenses you are allowed to use. If all else fails bust down the gait at night and race around! And call me!

did you say that because you know who did that 2 years ago at a bmw club race?

gotta do the bmwcca hpde's and accumulate so many hours of seat time, and then get signed off by an instructor. a process im going through right now...

I went to NHIS when i was 17 (yes I had a racing license) and they did not ask me for ANYTHING... I have heard of people flashing their BMWCCA card. I don't like lime rock schools anyways, last time i went there were motorcycles on the track.

I know it wasn't you, but one of the clubracers did that awhile ago with his tow vehicle. I don't think they ever said who it was...
