My first track day.

I just spent the weekend at The Streets Of Willow and I must say that I am addicted. I can't believe how much you can learn in one weekend at the track, I went from being kinda sketched out about taking turn one at 40, to taking it comfortably at about 85-90. Great people there along with great instructors. I already have made sure I don't work for the next three track days.

I was driving a stock '95 325i, it has the sport package but the sport suspension sucks, way to much body roll. The instructor dove it and agreed, but I plan on driving as fast as it can go stock then moding it. But if any body has any advice I would love to hear it. I plan on adding a roll bar and other saftey equipment. But I dont consider those mods.

Harness the body roll... make it ur own jejejejeje i only say it cause i deal with a lot of body roll... until i start working again i can't upgrade my suspension

an autopower rollbar will look good in the rear of ur cockpit and inspire a sense of safety to you, the driver.... if u drive in the street don't put a full cage in... plus the roll bar allows you to place the shoulder harnesses should you wish to install a 4 or 5 point harness

Glad you had fun. Track days are so fun. cant wait till the season starts here again, just ended at the end of october. if you do a suspension upgrade your car will hadle like a dream. you will love it. then get som more camber in the front end and you will be set. be careful, the rear end will come out on you in the turns if you really get on it with the camber set up. have fun and be safe.

i too have an almost stock suspension e36 i have the stock m3 springs on stock 328I struts and sways and most of the corners at portland international raceway the inside tire is coming off and thats with an auto. i like you i too have become addicted. even so far as to get instuctor certifed and get my racing lisence all in just over a year. here is a link to one sesion at my last track day in the auto with some friends http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmUZxFdbYBk
