| Stick Shift Hey guys can u help me on how to learn manual trans. Like how to launch and not to stall. And go into turn when to down shit and up shift. And on the red light should i go into nutral or hold the clutch ? Thanks fellas ( I mean on the street driving, not the road coars or track). Just regular street driving. |

| Thanks. So ur saying if im in 3rd gear and i have to turn i should slow down, then turn and then as im slower i should put my car in second or 1 gear so i can accelarate again right? Thanks man |

| good luck just try precticing invery quiet open spaces alot (with a friends who is accustomed) aside from the tips on here

| Dont ever take a corner in first, I'm also just learning but i learnt that the hard way hahah the gearbox uses it self as an engine break and jolts the whole car back and forth, it feels like you're getting whiplash!! |

| Wow ok guys ill try. No but i though it would be better if i brake turn and the down shit to the gear i need u know like from 40 mphs. i brake to 10 turn then i get in 1 gear and accelerat well now i have to do other way brake downshift then turn Thanks guy |

| 1st gear is to launch only... when you are completely stopped... i'm not telling you not to do it but do it at ur own risk Mike

| to sum it up on a few words... the formula is track out entry-apex at the middle of the corner- track out exit... You head to the corner as far away from the sside the corner turns to... you brake before entering corner and shift to the desired gear... then turn in without braking... usually with throttle feathering to keep the car balanced then as you hit the apex (not the same for all cars) but apex is the center of the corner... you accelerate out away from the center of the corner... then you know what to do on the straightaways Mike
