diff going bad?

Recently ive noticed a rubbing noise coming from my diff it only does the noise on the passanger side only on turn?does anyone have simillar problem?If its any easy fix let me know?If not im planing to buy another diff. which gear setting would be good for 1/4 mile and freeway driving?Please help

ive heard diffs that chirp decently loud when they need to be rebuilt.

but for the diff gear go to http://www.diffsonline.com/ and click on rpm/mph and look at the different gears and see which one ud like best

You may want to do a search on this... I think you can have a similar rubbing noise during cornering when:

either the bolts for the rear subframe start to back out, or tear out .... or if the control arm bushings are shot... or you have a wheel bearing that is trying to die.

well let me look in to that it might because it work fine only when turning? the tire is not rubbing nothing.

I had a similiar problem, which got worse and turned it a thumping sound when turning.......ended up being the subframe. Needed to be welded and reinforced.

If it is a subdued wooga-wooga-wooga rubbing sound when you are cornering then it most likely is a wheel bearing. Not sure on bad diff noises - contact Dan at Diffsonline.com (tell him Eric heinrich sent you) and he'll help you diagnose the problem and get you set up with the right diff ratios.
