| my e36 way too loose the last race i was at was the first one after i lost a 148lbs out of the rear of the car and the car was way more loose than usual can what could this be attributed to the weight loss or possibly the meguires insane tire shine these are the only things i can think of any ideas on how to run street tires and hook the curves without sliding |

| i had the same problem after removing the 2 inches of tar from the trunk of my e30. the main problem was having too much negative camber from lowering it. I installed theeurodepot rear camber bolts and had it aligned with the minimum amount of negative camber posible which is now about 1.5. The car is pretty neutral now. If you put very low profile tires with stiff sidewalls on the stock negative camber may be too much for them. The only way too check is with a pyrometer and see if your inside or outside edge is hotter than the rest of the car. If your camber is fine you might want to decrease the stiffness of your rear swaybar. |

| I remember we used to work on my neighbor's e36 m3... he was running almost 6 degrees negative camber front... to get the car turning due to the high treadwear... with race tire he used less... first of all is your car loose at turn in or at turn out when the throttle is back on?? If the car is loose at turn in... swaybar is the way to go... get that car softer at the rear helping it cope with lateral weight transfer... swaybar and spring combination Mike

| I had issues with my e30 in the wet, I unbolted the rear sway bar and it has made all the difference. The car is now driveable in the wet as opposed to being on a knife-edge. I even leave it off in the dry as at the absolute limit I have a hint of understeer which may cost me a little but the car is soooo much easier to drive. I'd rather have a car that is easy to drive and forgiving than a slightly faster car that does not forgive the odd faux-pas. ~andre~ (Turner J-Stock springs, Bilstein Sports, Racing Dynamics swaybars.) |

| I like my cars to have the tendency to oversteer... understeer sucks... Remember... Oversteer scares passengers, Understeer scares drivers... If I oversteer the car i can always turn the wheel the direction the rear of the car is sliding and everything "should" be under control... yes i've had spin outs but more often than not, i can catch the car before it's too late... Mike

Whatever floats your boat, if you like your car like that, great! Do you run the same setup wet and dry? Just trying to let trevor know what worked for me. ~a~ |

| Wet Setup is with hoosier wets and i let the car tend to understeer so that when i throttle on... it is not quite as severe... and i tend to lower air pressure a bit at the rear of the car If you like pistachio ice cream good for you... i'm just sharing my car setup for my particular track here in Puerto Rico... YES the car is matte black after alll it only needs to look good from fifty feet away at fifty miles an hour... plus after quite a few accidents you stop caring about what the car looks like MIKE
