| Rebound and compression just got my KW Variant 3 coil-overs installed a few days ago. These shocks are completely adjustable for rebound and compression. My car is lowered about 2.5 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back. I was hoping someone more experienced may have some suggestions for dialing in my setup. Right now they are set at the reccomended starting point. I also have solid rear shock mounts, meyle control arms with solid metal ball joints, and urenthane control arm bushings. Thanks for the help. |

| If its just a street car, then make it so its comfortable for you to drive. Compression is pushing down on the car Rebound is lifting up on the car As far as shock settings go, it depends on the car, spring rates and driving conditions. You want the rebound to be stiff enough so the car won't ossilate over bumps, and continue ossilating after the bumps. The compression should be just stiff enough to make the suspension operation smooth. You don't want the compression to be to stiff or it will increase the ride harshness a lot. Here's a link to a suspension tuning guide, this should help some: http://www.wtrscca.org/tech.htm |
