florida tracks

i am new to this "track" stuff, but i really want to go out on a track for some lessons etc... I have never done it before or know much about it, but i am having a hard time finding somewhere to do any of this in florida (I am in Tampa Florida) if you can help me out, that would be awsome!

Chin Motorsports throws a bunch of track events at Sebring Raceway. I have heard good things about them.

I too have heard good things about Chin's Events... Also check with the BMWCCA... Definately worth signing up for, they are a great way to get to track events...

my car is basically stock for all that the track place would know, but do i have to have Z rated tires? i looked at the site and it said that z rated are highly recomended, but my car has H rated tires (205's all around) -- if i cant use these then i would have to spend a pretty good chunk of money for tires and possibly rims (since mine are pretty new tires)

also i have stock brake pads (i have drilled rotors) but is that ok for track use also?

Try http://www.sunshinebeemer.com/ they have an event coming up may 21 st in Sebring. They also go to Moroso & Homstead
I would highly recommend better tires and brakes. You will have more fun and it is safer.
