| ohh, thats to bad. You had sufficient time to criticize what i was posting, but i guess insufficient time to substantiate your comments by posting anything helpfull. That's cool, have a nice day!

| What that i have posted says i want to build a blinging show car? Why does the fact that i want a wider track make what i want to build not a race car? Last i checked the Flossman kit gives the M3's a wider track, and is used in Europe by several race teams. Are they also building blinging show cars? Are you telling me there are no advantages in racing by having a wider track or wheel base? From experience i've learned that you eighther do it right the first time or don't do it at all. It makes no sense to do graphics and paint a car, just to repaint it later cause i didn't do what i wanted the first time. Also i don't want to buy 2 sets of wheels because with a wider track the off-set will be different therefore if i build it one way now, i would have to change the rims later. As you can see this will cost me more money. I intend to spend money on the car but not on buying the same thing twice. This wouldn't be very cost effective. It's like saying, i could race the car with my stock seat and a harness just fine, so why should i buy a racing seat?, or like saying my car stops just fine with stock brakes so there is no need to upgrade my brakes. My point is there are different mods for different advantages on the track. Wouldn't you agree.

| Thanks for the above link! Do you know if the e46 M3 body parts sold above will fit a e46 330ci? That is exactly what i'm looking for. In answer to litewaitM3 i'm building the car for the purpose of wheel to wheel racing. As i mentioned earlier i haven't decided on a class yet because the SCCA rule book has many restrictions on classes and what can be carried over from one class to the next. As i mentioned earlier when i used to import drag race, if the NHRA rule book said you needed a 4 point cage and you had a 6 point cage, they would still let you compete. The SCCA doesn't allow for that. This is the reason why it's taking so long to pick a class. I'm interested in the european car class Dado had mentioned that was going to start up elsewhere on the DTMracing site. As i understood it, the class was going to be sanctioned by another race body not the SCCA. I'm interested in doing the same as he did with the car, although i probably won't turbo it right away. I understand that you guys are skeptical and it sounds like i'm over building the car before i need to, but i really don't want to work twice.
