Oil starvation on hard left hand turns - oil sump pickup isn't ideal on the non-LTW (non-GT for the euro market) M3's... Most would probably tell you to run an extra qt. of oil in the motor for track days, if nothing else...

You are running a 95, so I'm sure you have the plastic water pump replaced with the metal water pump at this point.

And, last in my very short list... Be prepared to eat brakes.

I personally would add rear shock mounts to that list.

the cost of the schools is minimal after you account for gas, hotels, maintainence, etc etc. Around here the average BMWCCA event is about $170 with other orgs charging up to $280 a day. I did my first 10 track days in a completely stock car. Sure there are shortcomings, but a novice can learn from those short comings. Sunir is on point with what he has said. Too many track guys are willing to spend $500 on a new intake or better tires, while the reality is that driver improvement will have the most significant impact on lap times.
